any ideas?

Ok so assuming you are running 235/40/17 Dulnop D01Js, and shifting at 7,500rpm

RB20

1st - 3.321 , 60.98km/h

2nd - 1.902 , 106.4km/h

3rd - 1.308 , 154.8km/h

4th - 1.000 , 202.5km/h

5th - 0.759 , 266.8km/h

Final drive - 4.363

RB25

1st - 3.214 , 66.8km/h

2nd - 1.925 , 111.6km/h

3rd - 1.302 , 165.0km/h

4th - 1.000 , 214.9km/h

5th - 0.752 , 285.81km/h

Final drive - 4.11

Obviously if you are running a higher profile tyre, or larger diam wheel then those km/h could be a bti higher, or vice versa for lower profiles or smaller diam tyres.

And even though technically your car may be geared to pull 7,500rpm in top gear and a certain speed, i highly doubt that std engines have enough hp to overcome the drag etc at those speeds to max out the revs in 5th gear

I think I calculted it out based on 3000rpm at 110km/h that 5th gear at 7000rpm should see 256 km/h

im pretty sure if you calculated it out you would get 270ish. i bet when your cars at 2000 rpm your doin 70 and when your at4000 rpms your doin 150. you have an increase of 40kph per 1000 rpm increase

The stock engine does have enough grunt to pull top rpm in factory trim. :D

Looks to me like htere are different gear ratios going around between these cars, which ties in with a converstion I was having this weekend.

4th tops out at 120mph / 7000rpm for me, others I know of get at least another 10mph on top of that.
