my r31 has a habit of chopping out rear tyres on the inside with its last couple of sets. not too severly, but enough to limit the lifespan of the tyre. Being live rear axle adjusting toe and camber seems impracticle. Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts?

When you jack the car up do you stick a trolley jack under the diff centre? This bends the axle tubes and results in positive camber. That's the first thing I would check.
