rb20/25 gearbox differences

I'm currently searching for a new box for ny car and am not sure which path to take.

I know the rb25 box is stronger but it is also more than double the price i can get a rb20 box for. Was just wondering what the major difference in these gearboxes are.

Size, weight, internals, price, strength.

The bellhousing bolt pattern is the same tho.

In the current issue of HPI, they say that the rb20 box is more like a silvia box, and that the rb25 box is effectively the same internals as the GTR box?

Don't know how true it is, but yeah, issue 56 page 114.

And apart from the fact that it's stronger n stuff

it's like twice the size of a RB20

box and like 50kg's on top of the weight of the RB20 box,

RB25 boxes are the same as a GTR box, but the dont have the transfer case for the AWD.

Just allow to fix up the clutch and fly wheel etc. I didnt, and yeah, it can cost a bit.

no box's synchro's are that strong.

If you cant use a manual gearbox/clutch properly anyone can break any gearbox
