These arent really recommendations , more like questions:)

Any reason why you put valve springs in but kept the std cams?

Also it may have been worthwhile to go a lot bigger then 20 thou, you could have easily bumped up displacement to 2.2L with pistons alone.

Also what have you done in the way of rod bolts for the std rods?

Also i wouldnt decompress the engine any more then the std 8.5:1, also i noticed of late some of the cheaper 3" exhausts are in fact 3" ie 76.2OD whilst a lot of the Jap so called 3" exhausts are actually 80mm...

gtr injectors, and yeah-the to4 will b good for 1.5 bar, yeah got cam gears, std camshaft. he will be changing other things over time. "Also what have you done in the way of rod bolts for the std rods?" umm nothing i know of, any advice would be greatfull though, just need to know what else is necessary, rods? crankshaft?

To4e? why are people using OLD t04's when there is a shitload of new range turbo's out that spool earlier and produve a much nicer power band :)

sadly enough tho with the money spent on that you could have dropped in a rb25 given it a power fc turbo upgrade with injectors.. and it would probaly go alot harder and easier to drive than the dirty old t04e

yeah, mate, you should do that, it would be really good :)

he wanted a powerfull rb20, he now has a powerfull rb20.

you would be surprised how much money was actually spent.

Either way, were you going to give some advice? thats why we started this thread.

oh- and the to4 is new or...hasnt been used.

is there anything that he could have missed? thx guys.

I put an RB25 into my 32 and was rapped, originaly i wanted to build my 20 and have a crazy 20 but when it came to spending the bucks Ben from Racepace advised me that the 25 will make a bit more power at the end of the day so i was sold. I ended up doing the forged pistons, gtr rods, tomei cams 550cc injectors, power fc, hks 3037 proS, fmic and 3.5inch exaust. very happy with the job that was done going to make about 280kw at the wheels on about 17-18pnds.

could'nt be happier with the turbo choice. Perfect for the street not laggy at all.

I wanted to do the same thing.. get a powerful rb20 in my silvia.. but how ever with the money that i was goin to spend i was better off just buying a 26 and getting similar power out of a stock rb26 with mild upgrades.. and still have a safe reliable engine..

dont get me wrong.. rb20's are awesome little motors.. but they just dont have wat it takes to get alot of power out of
