pls help!!!

Hi guys, i have a r33 gts-t. My revs are often very unstable, occasionally i switch my car on and the revs keep on moving all around the place.. between 500and 1000 rpm. When i accelerate, the rev fluctuations stop. Or if i leave the revs fluctuating for a short while, it goes back to normal..

I was wondering if anyone would know what is causing this problem, it becomes quite difficult to drive in low revs the car keeps on jerking.

I have a BOV fitted, could this be the reason?

also, sometimes my car almost stalls as i try to take it out of a parking, the revs drop so low that it almost switches off, when u step on the accelerator the revs climb up and it switches back on.

Lastly, when my car is switched on but not moving, if u turn the steering wheel the revs drop very low and the car almost turns off.

Somebody pls help!! i'm beginning to think i made a wrong purchase...

You have a BOV that vents to atmosphere?

Or the AAC valve needs cleaning (do a search).

yes i have a BOV that vents to the atmosphere.

what is the aac valve? where can i find it? i would have no idea about it.

get rid of the atmo bov, this is causing your problem. the engine expects x amount of air in the system your bov opens to amto and air gets vented to atmosphere but the engine still expects that air in the system so it adds corresponding fuel to that amount of air but the air is gone and mixture is wacko and it stalls. change to stock bov

That or try a mates bov to see if yours is definantley causing the problem.

If your bov is adjustable might be worth checking the level its at currently.

Doubt the BOV theory if you are talking idle from start etc.

AAC does seem a possibility.

Engine is under vacuum at idle, so BOV leaks additional air into the engine, severely leaning the mixture.
