FYI

When I went to get my 4x4 import recently registered all they checked was the engine and vin numbers. I could have had anything in there they wouldnt have cared as they rely on the roadworthy for all those checks.

When I was there, there were 3 woman doing the checks and the 1 that did my car didnt even know what car it was and where the engine number was even after I showed here 3 times she couldnt see it and finially just gave up and said it was ok.

I was going to get a modded r32 from a guy in sydney and bring it down here, but the thing that turned me off was the fact that even if he got a pink/blue/red/etc slip for it up there, i would still have to unregister it and then re-register it in Vic, going through the hassle of trying to get a RWC.

getting the RWC shouldnt be a drama for me... its what happens at vicroads after i get my RWC that im worried about........ if i get done in at the inspection, with a RWC, the garage that issued the RWC is gonna be in some hot water.. thats definately not what i would want....

id need to get one of the 3 chick inspectors for sure.......... as long as they only check numbers should be ok..

well dont get a dodgy one and no-one gets in trouble.

common sense really.

Vic Roads have had a major crackdown on dodgy RWC's in the last 12 months or so.

I know a lot of mechanics that have lost thier License for RW Inspection for 2 years
