Hi guys,

i am about to consider 2 different skylines up for sale now.

1. 1996 GTST S2 80,000kms

- Almost stock except for : Pod filter , new sony stereo with pioneer speakers, 16" wheels, clean interior, with rego

2. 1997 GTST S2 97,000kms

with mods like : Pod filter, forward strut brace, 17" rims with Bridgestones tyres, Rusty rotors, kenwood stereo, 3" cat back, turbo timer, only changed the timing belt, no rego

The 1997 model is about $1000 more expensive than the 96 model.

Guys, which one do you think will be a better buy? i am sure more people will be attracted to the 1997 model since it's a later year??

go off condition not off the km's/year model. Their is only one year in build date difference so i wouldnt worry to much about that, they are both S2's.

check carpets, wear on steering wheel and hand break. also get it checked out properly by a mechanic

Not entirely true. Who knows with half the cars that get sold they would have mods done to them and people return them back to stock. you would never know if done properly. Id disregard the k's year and mods and go for the one thats in the best nick. Get a compression and leak down test done on the motor and go from there.

guys what's a compression test and leak down test??? Where can i get it and how much will that cost me? I decided to go for the 96 skyline as it is in real good condition inside out..comes with brand new pioneer speakers..the owner is a great guy anyway...very honest guy and i should say he is pretty trustworthy...Guys how much do you think the 96 skyline will cost...it's stock as...
