hey guys,

On the weekend I put the apexi PFC in my car, and tonight I got a turbosmart boost controller(mechanical). Im currently got it running 10-11psi and the injectors are at 81.1% they are close to max, and I want to run 12 psi.

What are the standard R33 gtst injector sizes?

Does anyone know if S6 RX7 injectors will fit stright in?

stockies are 370cc and theyll starting getting near 98% duty about 190rwkw - 200rwkw

as long as they dont sit on 100% for long duration, ie a few seconds its okay

just put it on graph mode with duty and take it for trash and make sure it doesnt flat line at the top. upto about 240rwkw ish is the "safe" limit where you can start to lean out and go bang (or get close to). i see 96% odd peak very occasionally and im only at 170rwkw so it varies but you should be fine, i run 12psi all the time

Larger pump and Malpassi here, pushing 240rwkw through standard injectors. Can't safely run more than 16psi though. My turbo wants more damnit :)

What's the point of a 460hp turbo if the car can't pump enough fuel to use the turbos potential? Money is the prob at the moment...

S6 rx7 injectors can be made to fit with some minor mods to the bottom screen to allow them to fit into the rail. They are a slightly longer injector but still seal ok. Unfortunately they are only single pintle.

Mine has them in atm, though due to a niggling missfire issue i have no idea what duty they will be running at what max power.

edit: Forgot to mention that the s6 rx7 injectors use a denso plug (rather than a nissan plug) which can be picked up from any old fuel injector specialist. The plug needs to be notched to fit due to the large lip on the r33 rail.

get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator

if you have a power fc you dont need to get a retune

all you have to do is measure your standard fuel pressure

fit your new reg and set your fuel pressure a certain percentage above standard

then go into your injector settings and take the same percentage off each injector

if you take your time and do your maths right you wont have a problem

Wouldn't that be RB20 or 26 Dave?

I now need injectors to fit up my high flow.

I need to know what bolts up, and what are the best to use.

I don't want to use the bg suckers, as I would like more tuning resolution, as my car is a daily driver and needs to get resonable fuel economy and blah blah blah

Anywhoo.. think that I will make more than 250 and less than 300 rwkw.

What size should I use, I will never be upgrading from these injectors, as 250+ is quite enough for a rwd skyline.

I don't want to get the HKS injectors as you need a new rail and whatever, I'd prefer a 100% bolt in injector.

Car is an R34 GTT, high flow turbo. I'll run a FPR only to increase base pressure slightly as I understand that bigger injectors need slightly higher pressure to work properly.

All help appreciated.

Hi Bass, SARD make a straight fit injector for the Neo, I think they were rated at 460cc's but they flowed a bit more than that at standard pressure (36 psi above boost). They are on 85% duty at 265rwkw, that's at standard pressure. I did try them at 50 psi and the duty dropped to 70%, so there is plenty to go. I stayed at standard pressure though, as I am not keen on replacing all of the rubber hoses with braided ones. Rubber hoses, screw clamps and 50 psi doesn't sit too well with me.

:D cheers ;)

hey Bass, i just went through the same thing with my car i wanted a set of injectors that fit straight in, people were telling me that the nismo injectors are a straight bolt on, but when i went to powerplay imports they told me i need a new fuel rail so i changed my mind and went for the sard injectors with some colars, they fit straight in, but i got a r33 so i think its the same but not 100% sure.

The injector on the left is top feed for an R34GTT RB25DET Neo

The injector in the middle is side feed for an R33GTST RB25DET

The injector on the right is top feed for an R32GTST RB20DET or R32 GTR RB26DETT.

Obviously they are physically not interchangeable.

:D cheers ;)

    • Hey all, not sure how active SAU is anymore but will ask away anyways. Just wanted to get some experience on the 2008 model GTR CBA model.  I've hit that age in my life (43) where I'm like fk it time to get my dream (midlife crisis) car. Looking at importing one in and seeing if these can be reliable if the main flaws are fixed up. Plan is to keep money aside to do the following straight off the bat to future proof it: * install a stage 1 rebuilt trans with all new bits and pieces.  * install a new Bellhousing from the later model GTRs. Or potentially an upgraded stronger version like MAD or ATR. Besides the above two things and typical maintenance items anything else you'd recommend doing.   Been speaking to a few people and the engine on these are very reliable apparently. But keen on the view of the community here. Hoping to find a nice grade 4.5 with low mileage in Grey. I'd go black but swirls too easy. Look forward to your responses and feedback. Cheers
    • Do Alan and Keith work on Skylines now? I remember buying stuff from them when I owned my Ralliart Lancer a few moons ago. Definitely genuine guys and be excellent if they dealt with the skyline platform as well.
    • Hey all, I'm Gaston from Sydney's West.  I was a member on here when I was a younger lad and owned a mint R33 GTS-T. Ended up selling it and getting married having kids (yadda yadda) we all know how the story goes. Now I'm back with the intention to get my midlife crisis (dream) car ... a R35 GTR.  You'll see me about asking questions and searching the forums. Good to be back and can't wait to get back an Import again.
    • I have to put something here in order to post the photos. From what I could gather there's more enthusiasm for modified cars now than there has been for years. There were probably more younger people there than older (me included lol) which was a good sign.  It did seem like the record least amount of representation of the 90's era hero cars on display though. Like maybe one or two examples of S-chassis Nissans, and maybe 3 or 4 R-chassis. By comparison there were a lot of Civics from that era but in all there were about 10 - 12 EG/EK Civic Type R.  Euro exotics are always there in large numbers, led by Liberty Walk...... say what you will about kids using markers to scribble on a Ferrari F40, it did seem like a stunt to infuriate Ferrari enthusiasts, or Ferrari itself. I wonder if there's something more to it. Either way LBWK have done some heinous things to a Lamborghini Miura this time. They should stop now.
    • Engines and drivelines are not war stoppers for me mate, busted arse bodies and un-obtainium parts and panels are though Both cheap Brumbies I looked at had trashed tubs and a fair bit of rust
