We've got an R32 GTSt that had a an RB20DET in it, that has now been swapped over to an R33 RB25DET, but the RB20 wiring harness still remains.

We wana put a Power FC on it, but to do this, should we get an R32 RB20DET AP Engineering PFC, or swap the harness over and just get a normal R33 RB25DET PFC?

Any got any experience on this one?

If you want to run the VVT, then the R33GTST wiring harness and PFC would be the go. This means you use all of the RB25DET sensors so they match the harness plugs and the PFC.

If you don't want to run the VVT, then swap all of the sensors over from the RB20DET, plus the inlet manifold and injectors (they are top feed so much cheaper to upgrade than the RB25DET side feed). Then you can use the RB20DET wiring harness and PFC.

:D

Thanks mate.

The VVT isn't really a concern. Had planned on swapping over the manifold and sensors anyway so that should be OK with the AP PFC then.

The injectors, is their anyway to made GTR injectors work? These are top feed hi imp right?

Just curious

why would you have to swap to the rb20det inlet manifold wouldnt you just have to swap the sensors over ???????

That's why I suggested swapping over to the RB20DET inlet manifold, they come with top feed injectors standard. Then it is simple to fit GTR (also top feed) injectors or any number of cheaper (than side feed) aftermarket top feed injectors.

:)
