I think its 91'

Yamaha FZR RR 250

Great cheaper option to CBR RR's

I sold 89 CBR R to upgrade to this bike. Much much quicker!!!

Fastest learner legal bike you can get (less well known than CBR RR's, but meant to be quicker)

Is infact a DOUBLE R, which is alot better than SINGLE R bikes. Noticable differences are power output, frame of bike, TWIN front discs.

EXUP valve

Magnum pipe

About 30,000kms.

8months rego.

Asking $4,200.

Remember you want, RR bikes not single R.

Have been off P's for a while, don't mind if I do or don't sell, I really like this little rocket... if I do sell, I'll get an R6.

Nar its blue. I will puts some pics up when we find my flat mates digi cam.

I have had it just over 12 months. I got it when I just got my P's cause I noticed my CBR250R was not as quick as the CBR250RR's and was cut. Went down to Sydney and got this guy, as soon as I got on it, it was a little scary, much quicker than the CBR up top.

pics soon. But you can look for other FZR's and see what it looks like, as its the standard blue pattern with white. even has R2 written on it like the other baby R1's advertised at bike shops

Hey man, yeah sry dude, not actually interested in getting a bike. Was just wondering caus there arent many FZR250RR around, and I sold mine late last year.

To every1 whos interested, hit up this bike! This bike can keep up with a GSX750R up to 80-100 kph, and can thrash every other 250 out there, except for the aprilia! I've owned both a fireblade 250 and this bike, and the Yamy is by far the better.

Btw, if the bikes in good nick, this is a bargain price. GL mate

I know theres a rule about not posting bad information on someones for sale thread, however i think i have a duty to inform a potential buyer of some information posted in this thread.

The honda CBR250RR produces 45hp, where as the FZR250RR produces a mere 33hp. The CBR250RR is also 13kg lighter then the FZR250RR. The aprilia was almost mentioned, it produces 71hp and has the chassis of a GP bike, at 120kg it is over 30kg lighter then both bikes and superior in every single way.

The statement "it will keep up to GSXR750's up to 60-80" or something of the like is unfounded. The GSXR750 produces 3 times as much torque and i believe is over 120hp. With a weight of only 20kg more, not only would the GSXR750 beat any 250cc bike at any speed, it would do it on the back wheel.

Gl with the sale, just keep the bullshit to a mininum

Psybic, I'm vry sry, but I guess this is a free bump. I would ask any moderator to do as they see fit....

Cache, of unknown name and vehicle owner.... firstly, for some reason you decided to re-iterate the fact the aprillia's a superior motorbike. I'm not exactly sure why you did that, as anyone who knows anything about low cc bikes knows that aprillia is superior, which I mentioned in my previous thread!?

On the hp stats of the yamaha. It took me a very long time to find those stats, and finally acquired them from from YAMAHA AS. I'm not sure what your connection is in dealing with motorbikes, but what I would like to know is where you recieved your specifications from, if mine are incorrect, I would be very disappointed if mine were wrong (you might also like to note that the fireblade hp was 45 only up to 1994, where Jap. officials decided to decreased the hp to 40... not sure what hapend to the FZR250RR hp during that year, as it is not easily found).

It is known that the fireblade is a lighter bike, but from my experience, I have found the FZR to be the greater one...

Just to finish, for anyone who tries to find specs on the FZR250RR on the web, GL: for me, it has been, and still is one of the hardest things to find. All of what I have said here and in previous threads is as true as I know of (except for the keeping up with the 750... I was thinking of my next bike; the bike which I meant to mention was the GSX600R), and I would pls ask anyone who would argue with the specs I have given Daniel to provide some kind of proof that I have lied.

Daniel, I'm not sure if you would like to make a new thread, but yeah, sry about about any trouble I've caused you.

Hahahahaha.

Nar man, thanx for the attention.

Like I'll tell anyone. Don't really care if I do or don't sell. Just thinking I wouldn't mind the upgrade as I've been off P's for a while.

I don't care what specs are. I'll tell ya, I sold a CBR250R and bought this, for one reason, this bike is faster and sounds better. Maybe CBR250RR's are quicker, who knows, probably pretty even, but I don't care about that either, check their prices!!!

My mates CBR600F is quicker, my mates ZZR250 is much slower, my CBR250R was slower. Thems the facts.

Anakha was just letting people who don't know bikes know FZR's are a great bike. We aren't talking about whats faster anyway.

Cache is just making sure everyone knows the real deal, so thats all good too. I like this thread. :uh-huh:

So if anyone is interested, let me know, if not, I'll be a happy little guy and continue to go for rides on the weekends and whenever I please on this little rocket.

Cheers guys.

Thats the one.

Just found the camera then, but its dark. I'll go try find a spot to take some pics then post them up. Its too cold to wash it though, so it is a tad dirty, I'll just change them over after I get a chance to wash it.

    • What ECU is on your car @silviaz? You can just change the idle target table yourself and the IACV duty cycle. Noting that if you play around with the screw you'll also need to revisit the idle base duty table as you will end up offsetting the lot. Another reason why DBW is superior, there's less mucking about.
    • Yep. Saw that on the image above but, wonder if it makes more sense to clean out the iacv because let's say in theory mine is dirty and if I clean it the rpm will drop. If I first go to my tuner to drop the rpm and then go to clean my iacv won't it drop further or is the rpm a fixed number?
    • Yeah it was a good result, and confirming the car is full of fluids and all interior etc in, other than fuel. I think a few pages back (maybe many pages!) he mentioned some serious lightening in the doors with the chassis punch, might have been done elsewhere I hadn't seen yet too
    • He still had the suspension dialled in for him! I would have sworn the lowest weight he ever got to was 1300kg though Maybe Neil had been drilling a LOT of holes somewhere you haven't found yet... 😛 Or has he also drained all the gearbox and diff oil out too, between it, and a tank full of fuel there's about 65kg to 70kg to add back in I'd guess. 😛
    • Yeah this isn't a super complex shape, but I was still happy to buy instead of fab version 1; very little in a modern can is a flat surface, and that is true here again - the undertray has about 50mm in height differences that I would have had to work out myself. I will probably make something more substantial before it does any rally, I don't think 1mm steel is too much use as a bash plate. There is also cooling to think about, Z1 have done a bit of development and have some air holes and louvers in the shape, will see how that works out too
