My car is having this weird problem, when I start the car in the moring (or cold) it runs like a dream. But if i drive it for a while, and then stop and leave it for a while (an hour or more), and start it again, it runs like shit. It won't idle, it keeps almost stalling then coming back to life. And when I drive it it will barly rev, and it bucks and carries on, the only way I can get it to go is to pump the throttle. It's hard to explain, but it's a pain in the arse.

The ECU is a remapped stocker (no 180k limiter, 8500rpm rev limiter, spark cut instead of fuel cut....) i'm thinking that the ECU dosn't like warm starts, but i'm realy not sure.

Thanks

hi sav.....ive had a verysimilar problem to this.....now im could be wrong... be but it could be a couple of things.....either u have some faulty coils and basiacally after uve been driving for a while it runs fine but then when u stop for a while the engine is still v.hot so the coils get heat soaked because the car isnt driving and having air pushed through the front....if that makes sense so try taping up ur coils for a start

or go get a leak down test done and see if u r having any leakage (sounds like it maybe)...i only say this cause i was having a similar problem and after checking it out further found that engine was not in great nic and it was time for a rebuild after similar symptoms 2 u...(not 2 scare u)

hope u dont need a rebuild too

good luck

The car is getting looked at on Tuesday, I have had problems with the AFM's in the past (a clean with carbie cleaner fixed that). If the AFM's need to be replaced will Nismo AFM's plug straight in without a remap. Just thinking for future mods.
