In association with RENEW, the Rotary guys, we are having another track day at Wakefield Park on Sunday September 11.

Cost is $130 for members and $160 for non members.

You must get your form and payment in to secure a spot and since RENEW have the jump on us they already have a number of spots taken so you better get in fairly quickly in order to secure a position.

Entry Form

In order to simplify things this time the form goes straight to RENEW if posting, details are on it, however you can still fax the form to us on 9237 0814.

UPDATE

There are only 3 spots left so people need to get their money and forms in ASAP.

Interested.

I've never been to a track day before, so would be keen to give it a go. Just need to sort a few things out first before deciding to commit to the day.

Just curious, will there be any instructors available on the day?

I wouldn't mind getting some pointers on braking points, driving lines etc as I know I could probably do with some guidance being first time out and all...

John - You've seen it now and there are spots now so that will do. :O Rx7s go pretty quick around a track.

Brendan there will be instructors on the day. There will also be people like me and Duncan and other SAUers who have been to many track days and would be happy to go out with you and show you around.

In fact, the first session is devoted to exactly that. Have a read of the form I've linked to in my signature.

This time you can bring as many people as you like but there is no second driver unless you pay a second fee.

The other thing to take note of for those with no track experience is that Wakefield Park is as safe a track as you will find. The runoff areas are large and flat, the only wall is along the straight so you can't hit that and it would take a pretty serious car to hit 200km/h on it meaning that it takes skill rather than outright power to do well.

Basically it's the best track to learn on and still fun for those with experience.
