Decided im leaving this place cos the new forums truly do suck, they're slow, look like shit, very hard to read, lack the features of vBulletin, and overall why would a site move to a lower-grade product?

Serious thoughts, opinions?

I must admit there a bit too dark for my liking, makes it harder to read. But give the admins a bit of time, they tend to make changes to improve the forums once they've just upgraded.

So what are you waiting for. :O

you guys need glasses or something, seriously. I run 1400x1050 res and i can read everything just fine. I dont mind it at all, looks more professional imo. what colours does everyone else have? mine is blue with white writing, again, no prob with reading or anything?

I'm sure more features, but etc will be rectified once the mods get a handle on it :O

im with u 100% on the forum looking like crap, i hate the colour scheme, and ye its failry slow even with a fast connection, i cant even view my previous posts and i cant find shit, previous forum board style was sweet, there was no need to change it completely, a big thnx 2 the designer 4 a crappy forum.

Get glasses I say. Im sure once you get use to it, it will be easier to use. Some ppl just cant handle change, maby you should see some one about that... or is it just men??

The people that made this website dont get paied to do it, its their own spare time... and run off donations... so just be happy that this site is here for ur use and that some one has alot of spare time on their hands!

oh nooooessss

a change

how dare they, my little utopia is ruined

gee they haven't added extra skins yet. white and blue is very easy to read. change the font size if your blind.

so far for me works just fine no lag, got to check out the rest of it yet but no complaints from me so far.

evolution and change are all part of moving forward, previous changes ahve turned out fine so can't see any difference now.

but come on its just a message forum, you come you read, you post, you leave you check every now and then.

My god...

Its gay. :O

Give it time fellaz.. Most gay things end up seeing the light. "No offence intended if you do swing that way"

Personaly: I run an IT forum and it just takes time.

1. They must have a reason for screwing it up like this "they upgrade to a new form of PHPBB etc.."

2. All forums like this one have different selectable skins and given time Im sure they will be up and running on this forum. After they do this you can change it to what eva look you like/they offer.

3. It needs some work me thinks..

4. This is point number 4.

5. My 2c worth.

Gee stritch you need to chill dude.

Its a day old, and migrating a forum of this size wouldnt be an easy task.

Give them some time, im sure they are quite aware of the things that need fixing but I know I would rather have a forum with small text rather than no forum at all.

yes, these forums are now very slow and the colours are too alike

same layout as the TPC forums and I don't care much for the syling ;)

Might be a newer version, but definately a downgrade I think

EDIT: the time is funked too, I just posted at 2:50pm and its telling me its 6:50am <_<

Yep, no one is forcing them to do it, they do it because they love skylines and meet others who felt the same. Saying this, isnt this why we are all on this forum? So who gives a toss if the forum changes slighty or it runs a bit slower...

I sure dont, there are other much more important things in the world to get all stressed about than the skyline forming having a little change.

    • Interesting....can't say I've ever checked it, have always just changed it in the off season as practice
    • Just checking, when we are talking about high temp fluid, are we all referring to DOT 5.1? I haven't had any issues with changing it every 2-3 years.
    • Yeah that is still true AFAIK.....good brake fluid should be changed annually because it absorbs water faster which is more often than most mechanics would do it. There are cheap tools that check water% in brake fluid if you all scientific about it. I for sure would (do) run good brake fluid in anything that even casually saw the track like Murray said; avoiding the risk of "exciting" fade is worth it
    • Well, back in the day..... "race" fluids, which were essentially only really "high temp" fluids, used to absorb water more readily. So they really needed to be changed more often anyway. The coincidence of that being directly necessary along with it being what racers would do as a matter of course was just fine.
    • Does the high temp fluid degrade any different over time compared to normal one? That's one thing I've always been wondering. Because a track car is going to get the fluid flushed probably way more often than every two years and will see less kilometers driven. I would think the requirements are different. I'm running Motul RBF 600 in mine. Was recommended by my mechanic before a trackday and I've stuck with it since. Hasn't seen the track since but I've kept buying and using it for servicing anyway.
