Which model mate?

I have Volk TE37 bronze on my jalopy. They're fully sick mate ...

The only ones above this are the Volk Racing Challenge which are probably my favourites.

These are also pretty expensive. You'd be lucky to get TE37 for $4,000-5,000 a set. The VR Challenge even more.

I think Croydon AS are the distros but I could be wrong.

TE37 Bronze!!! awesome! they're my favourite.

4-5K new.......awwhhh, i didn't think they were that much.

Do u find these wheels second hand at all?? Possible to get em in from japan??

Cos i wasn't exactly looking to spend that much on wheels when i get the car.

i know this is going to sound like blasphemy to u, but does anyone make copies of em?? :D

  • 3 months later...

Well I kinda got myself in a bit of a mess the other night in the rain and stuffed my bronze volk racing wheels, that were the best I've ever seen. Everybody commented on them and I had to go and smashed 3 of them. I was lucky I didn't do any pannel work. Just a lower control arm and a little bit more. If anybody knows anyone who can get me some in from japan it would be most appreciated.

:D

Well I just ****ed my Bronze SE37's

Oooch.

JustCars valued my 18x9.5 bronze TE37s at $8k!

That's including tyres BTW.

You can get them new for $1.5k per rim - 2nd had would still be close to $1k per - unless you get lucky. Fingers crossed :)

Funny thing is that I always used to slam my previous cars into the gutters.

I drove like company commodores with plastic wheels caps and you'd just slam them into the curb.

Funnily I scratched the rear drivers side going too fast around a corner and rubbing the median.

My others are fine (I drive carefully and avoid reverse parking).

Yeah - I never have this problem in the Lada :D

Hooray for BF Goodrich!

I scratched my drivers front - backing out of my driveway and turning too sharp.

Such a silly thing to do :)

Anyway... getting mine fixed before AutoSalon - will keep you posted :D

well, seems everyone love TE37, i can get them 2hand at much lower price with tyre, or Challenge for even less.

i am NOT a business man, i am an oversea student! but recently i am getting some rims for my line and i found that i can import them myself instead of rip off by Aus shop! if anyone interest, u can contact me and see if i can help. Which help me earn a bit of pocket $$ to mod my car :P

    • Hi soviet_merlin, We appreciate your concern regarding this possibly being some sort of PR/Political hype, I assure you that is not the case, I wish we could claim something like that, but in this case, we merely reached out for comment on the basis of the outrage we too felt, as those heavily in the automotive industry. Ps. the original source in the social media post is CarExpert not CarExplore.    Best, CE.
    • Made a bit of a discovery, but while I was cruising, I randomly decided to test to see if it worked and it showed up on my IC7. The entire time I tested it before, I never thought to turn the ignition on. I only tested it with head lights turned on but with the ignition off. Huge oversight on my end. I’m a dummy. I know.
    • G'day all, I have drilled and tapped the hole for the relocation of the timing belt tensioner. That was straight forward. I'm unsure if I need to also put another hole for the smaller stud that the spring behind the tensioner catches on (this is how it seems to work in its original spot). Or do you not use the spring behind it and just torque it down? Thanks in advance, I did a search but couldn't find anything related and it doesn't mention it in the rb30det sau guide.
    • Hi All,  just thought I would provide an update as I know smooth (Matt) was on this forum from 2003.    my brother Matthew passed away end of may 2024 at the age of 41 from liver failure. I am not sure how many of his original team krazy friends are still on here or active but thought it reasonable to let the forum know.    if you have any photos or pictures it would be great if you could share them.    it took me a while to work out he was active on here.    thanks so much
