Help; Hid Globes

hi all,

just recently my high beam factory standard hid globe has blown.

i have contacted nissan and the genuine apart is $180 does aonyone have any ideas as to finding it cheaper. or has anyone got one second hand????

I thought HID globes were always around that price?

Are you sure your high beams are HID?

Mine are just normal halogens.

don't know was just wondering the same thing looking at mine, they are a wierd ass bulb that i've never seen before.

i know they look really wierd. there is nothing like it out of a catalogue from either hella or narva or anyone like that. Looks like i have to get the genuine part.

i am pretty sure its a hid xenon globe as it has the metal ingnitor.

usually high beams are not HID, it would probably be a regular type of globe.

the reason behind this is logical, if you want to flash your high beams, or use them quickly, it is not possible if the highs were HID as HIDs take a while to get bright.

so if the globle gets to full brightness instantly then it wont be HID

hmmm.. that figures because it lights up straight away. Has anyone had to replace the high beam?? what type of globe does it take??

yep the globe is't hid

the base is closest to a hb3, but i had to modify it a little to get it to fit correctly.
