when I start the car in the mornings, it goes just to about 400RPMs , it doesn't stall, then after a few seconds (say 4 -8) it jumps up to 1600RPMs or so and starts going down normally, after that everything is fine, car idles fine.

This morning tough, I started the car and it only went to about 200RPMs, again without stalling, and this time took like 10 secs to go up to normal, its geting me worried now cause I have no idea what it could be. :(

Any suggestions or comments on the subject would be appreciated guys.

Cheers.

I would check out your idle control valve. Im not sure as I've never pulled one off a skyline, but on a commodore its a little stepper motor that bolts in right near the throttle body. I would clean it up and hit it with a penetrator like WD40 or something like that.

yeah thanks mate, I did that to fix the problem of jumping revs at iddle, it seemed to have worked fine, did it about 2 months ago.

I went for a spirited drive last night, (been driving grandma style lately), when I went to start the car today, it started fine WTF??. Good excuse to thrash the car on a daily basis :(
