2 Step Rev Limiter

hey, just wonder what is best to use for the switch on a 2step limiter?

i.e handbrake, clutch, or a button near the shifter?

what do most people prefer?

funkymonkey posted a good el cheapo rev limiter which had dual stage and some crazy fuel cut method or something, cant recall exactly. do a search on bee-r or beer rev limiter or maybe bee-r powerfc rev limit and you should find it, about 6 months ago ish

If it was me I would use the clutch.

As you are going to want the lower level for launching you could have a push in switch when the pedal is all the way depressed having the lower limit and once off and running it will be constantly on the high setting.

Would eliminate having to think about it and give more concentration on other things, and dismiss any chance of forgetting to switch it or not switching it properley.

Hmm clutch is a good idea.

As mentioned for launching, but also for changing gears hard. You can keep the throttle to the floor and just jam that cluth in, change gears, and let it back out without having your car bounce off the rev limiter during the change.

ok thanks guys I was thinking clutch would be best option.

and yeah I already have a Bee Racing rev limiter, cuts ignition instead of fuel.

Im thinking a microswitch with a bracket under the clucth lever.

ok, well I installed a switch today, had to fabricate a bracket, came out suprisingly well for being hungover. B)

Ive adjusted it so the switch only engages once the clutch is all the way in.
