I will be there if it kills me. I"ve bought another 32 gtr thats going into the panel beaters next week to have the firewall straightend out but apart from that there isn't any other damage so I'll take all the stuff out of the stacked car and put it into this one so hopefully i can have one good car. As a bonus this car already registered. All i'm in need of now are some semi comps in 255ish by 17, some whiteline swaybars and maybe a gearbox with good synchros to finish it off.

Who's up for helping with engine swap in a couple weeks? It'll be fun!

I just hope the walls don't get in the way of my over enthusiastic driving this time.

West could you pm me the link to the tyres if your not getting them providing they haven't gone off/hard. I had falken st115's on the front of my gtst and they seem to hold up fairly well to some abuse. The drift night killed them thou. But that was after a year and a half and three track days and two drift nights. About 30000k I got out of them and they still have tread there just really scrubbed.

I could lend a hand, let us know.

1.33 on semi comps with suspension. What's wrong, no ticker? I did very low 1.31 on standard rubber with crap stock lowered suspension. Woulda had a 1:30 if the idiot in the TVR had got his POS out of the way.

Gareth, I'll try to help as well but have to get the RB26 into the GTSt sometime soon.

Well if anyone needs 2 x 235/45/17 RE55s (12 laps old around Sandown) then i may be able to help out. They are the fronts off my car that rub due to the wrong size tyre being fitted. I have to see if firmer springs will fix it up, but if not then i will need to get rid of them.

Gareth, good to see your getting close...

No entry names usually don't go up for a week or so before the event.

Apparently so far only 10 people have entered or something - but there will be a rush in the last 2 weeks.

Whats you question on driver training??

My mate HLT4EVA is entering for driver training, i've just faxed his form away. We just wondering how many session with the driver training does he get? Will he get to run with us in the sprint or he's only allow to run when a designate trainer next to him?...ect..

Thanks

The driver trainers will not be timed either , however if the instructor believes he is capable by himself he can be slotted into a "timed" session if he wishes.

    • Give the fluid a really good flush, then go do the same track again. Report back too please
    • I think most of the benefit there is really from the battery as well, having 1 kWh or so means you don't need the engine running at idle to run the AC, when the battery is depleted you can run much higher idle to charge the battery at a lower bsfc point and then shut it back down, you can regen on braking to recover some of that power too. I can't imagine the benefit from only running the compressor as much as needed is huge if you're mostly only running the AC on hot sunny days where it really needs to work hard to keep interior cabin temp under ambient.
    • Yeah, unless you're doing it by the book, your data is probably not useful. Boiling point drops rapidly with only just a little water in it.
    • How hard are you tracking it? I have 378 in front and 355 in the back with decent pads and my brakes were spongy after a decent session with lots of braking. It was a short track though but got up to around 190-200 max. be keen to hear. Mind you, I havent flushed my fluid so thats probably part of reason.
    • Awesome thanks for the reply Man! I already plugged up the back just cause I can’t take a chance on it leaking on me again haha. But i will fab a catch can with 2x for the cam covers and a lower one for the sump vent.    Now as this will drain back as well , Is there any concern I should have of the oil being drained back. I don’t run e85 or anything .   2nd question is, from the picture does it seem that my sump fitting is above oil level? Silly question but I rather have someone’s experienced opinion lol
