Driving home from work today on the parkway, go to overtake someone, car comes on boost, BOOM......smoke......no boost......idle screwed. Uh oh.....

Have a look in engine bay, can't see anything obvious but doesn't surprise me that much. Sit there and contemplate how much a new turbo/engine going to cost for about half an hour.

Rang some work colleagues to bring yellow pages. Just as they arrive Andrew stops to make sure I'm ok and big thanks for that! When i was walking back from your car I spotted one of the things I hadn't checked and now could obviously see was that the intercooler pipe under the fmic had blown off. Have a bit of trouble getting it back on in a business suit that is now not looking so great, but finally get it back on. Get it home and got the clamps back on properly and no dramas at all.

So a very big thanks and thumbs up to our resident millionaire in training. ;)

i am sure he was really just their posing in his metro clothes for the passing motorists :D

Amen to that! :(

Im glad everything turned out ok for you Nath! I was going to send you a PM this morning to see if you were ok and what the bill was going to come to, the fact that it was only a cooler pipe is great news!

It's just another example of how great our local community is and the ammount of times various members have helped each other is brilliant!

:D

Yeah exept when it happened to you Luke, we were in the middle of suburban Sydney with no tools and no one to call... Thankfully a friendly neighbourhood Sydney'ite lent us some spanners... That was a PR*ck of a day (until I got pissed at your aunt and uncles house) Hehehe
