Importing A 1966 Mustang Info Needed

hey there

a mate was thinking about importing an old mustang but doesnt know what is required. the car is $19,000US. just wondering what would be the costs involved

there is no need to change the steering over because its over 30 years old, but here is the list i think is required

1- car $19,000US say aroung $25000AUS

2- shipping $4000AUS??

3 - compliance and engineering $3000AUS??

anything else you can think of?

mate the cost of mustangs in the US at them moment are huge. You better off getting one that is already over here.

you need to include the costs of import duty and GST. Import duty is 10% of the cost that you paid for it in the US. And GST is 10% of the cost of the car in the US, the cost of shipping and the import duty added together.
