i usualy blip the accelarator down thru all gears just for practise, double clutching as well. dont realy need to heel it tho, just have left side of my foot on the edge of the brake pedal, and sway my foot to the right to hit the accelarator seeing as the pedals are so close together

Use gears. As others have said, you can slow down quicker if need be and can get out of the way quicker. Last thing you want to do is have to stumble around to find the right gear to avoid an accident.

Coasting at a decent speed is a bad idea IMO.

Heal-toe'in, Double Clutchin, Engine Breaking, Coasting, Neutral, 3rd till 1,200rpm..

you know what - I like to mix it up a bit you know.. do I think the lights gonna go green in a sec.. am I turning right..

like to keep myself on edge - pick one of the 5.. :)

usually it's a case of heel-toe'ing or double clutching if i'm in a racy mood - sounds good.. + never hurts to practice..

also engine breaking is better I guess..

as for saying it puts wear and tear on the gear-box/clutch.. WTF - your driving a skyline for christ's sake.. that's the least of your worries.. i'm sure you never go over 2,000rpm as well.. hmmm... strange..

:)
