180km Speedo

hey ppls

Im looking for an aftermarket speedo that displays more than 180km/hr. I know theres the nismo etc etc ones avaliable for like $600.....

Is it possible to get some type of auto electrician person to recalibrate my stock speedo to trick it into thinking when im doing 180km/hr its only doing like 90km/hr (half way on the speedo). ??

Then all i'd have to do is change the numbers on the actual speedo to match the new positions.. or would this be more expensive than just paying the damn $500 ??
