I think i've got a problem somewhere, because my stock BOV (plumb back) sounds like one of those loud aftermarket BOV that are vented into the atmosphere... is there maybe a air leak somewhere?

I supose it sounds cool and all,but its just too lound and brings attention from the wrong people (cops) :)

you must have a pod filter. the air from the stock bov goes back through a pipe and ends up right in front of the air flow meter, making it almost as audible as an atmospheric one. you could always go back to the stock airbox, as this will dampen the sound almost completely.

as for leaks, if you rev the car from the engine bay listen to where the noise is coming from, my guess is the pod.

hope that helps

LOL if you have no filter that's probably what you're hearing.

It's also possible if you're running massive boost that the BOV isn't up to the job of venting the air and you're infact hearing reverb.. but you'd have to be running plenty of boost.
