Help Plzz!!!!

Hey all, just put a new engine in my HR31 COupe,

another RB20 Nics engine

car cranks, starts and runs, but runs on 3 cyclinders!!!

Any ideas?

The plus has spark and the injectors are firing

Have you worked out which 3 cylinders it's running on? (disconnect each coil one at a time - the ones that change the note of the engine are the cylinders that are working).

Change the coils so the the "working" ones are on "not-working" cylinders, then repeat the test. This will tell you if it's the coils or the plugs. If the "working" cylinders are now "not working", then it's the coils. Investigate why the "not working" coils are not working. (crook coil, faulty ignitor, etc).

If the "working" cylinders don't change, it's the plugs. Investigate what might be wrong with them.

checked all of that. its the 1st three cyclinders

could it be the timing belt not on properly

Yes, but is it the coils or the spark plugs that are not working on Cyls 4/5/6?

Doubt it's the timing belt, otherwise none would be working.

hey all, found out it was the timing belt......

ive talken of off and tried to get it on, but each time i crank the engine, the timing belt 'jumps' and few teeth, how do u stop this?

Have you checked your belt tensioner?
