Have you worked out which 3 cylinders it's running on? (disconnect each coil one at a time - the ones that change the note of the engine are the cylinders that are working).

Change the coils so the the "working" ones are on "not-working" cylinders, then repeat the test. This will tell you if it's the coils or the plugs. If the "working" cylinders are now "not working", then it's the coils. Investigate why the "not working" coils are not working. (crook coil, faulty ignitor, etc).

If the "working" cylinders don't change, it's the plugs. Investigate what might be wrong with them.
