How goods your welding....?

Carefull not to go overboard with the weld and Fu<k the bearings.

Buy a spool they are dirt cheap bought mine for $110

A good welded diff will last a lot longer than the gearbox or driveshafts lol

I loved the Durability & predictablity of the Mini spool in my old 340rwHP R31.

It could be thrown around with ease, No understeer to talk of, the only issue being stress on certain parts of car and low speed maneuverability.

I've looked and haven't found anyone who sells them.

My understanding of how a spool works, is it replaces the spider gears inside the diff, but effectively does the same thing as locking it up. I don't see how you wouldn't get any more or less understeer as with a locked diff......

A spool is a locked diff is it not.

Anyway, one of my mates has a locked diff in a fairly fast car (10.7sec) it is welded. Now his problem with it is that he feels it is not balanced properly, as it is very difficult to get the welds even. This is where a spool would help I would think. Going by what hes saying anyway.

I have a welded diff. it's the best mod i've ever done!

mine has lasted since about march, and i've been drifting it 3 nights a week... still going strong.
