depends on the spec of the GT35

considering there are heaps... possibilities are endless..

throw in various motor specs and you have a lot of influencing fators that no-one couild tell you when "it" would do its business.

Much more information needed.

But this have been covered from memory, try seaching

GT30 - RB25

GT35 - RB26

is generally the go, and then varying specs from there

fatz, is that the xr6t turbo?

On a RB30DET (rb25 head) the GT35R (.7 comp & .82 turbine) with mild 256 cams, makes 1 bar (only just) by 3500rpm and will make what ever boost you dial in by 4000rpm.

Throw on another 500rpm or slightly less in spool time for the rb26.

Sorry to hijack your thread mate :D. But I'm contemplating which turbo to get aswell. And I've got a GTR too, and I was told by a reputable turbo supplier who really seems to know what he's talking about, that a GT3040 would be better suited to my 26 than a GT35R.

He suggested this after I told him that I'd be taking it in the bitumen sprints next season so I'm not after anything too laggy, not a big number chasing dyno/drag setup.

But I've got a mate who's got a 35R on an RB25 he's running a .6 exaust housing and it snaps on boost really hard. I was thinking it would probably be the better choice, seeing as how wheel spin isnt as much of a concern. But I was going to get the .8 exaust housing instead, to slow down the spool a bit and also to give it a little more up top seeing as how they love to rev out. My plan was to get a manifold and gate off 6Boost Kyle, and then convert to a big single.

It's not a dedicated circuit car though, and I love the lag->spool kick in the pants as much as the next bloke.

Anyone got opinions? Cubes? R31Nismoid?

Cheers.

GT30 is too small for the 26 with the extra RPM you have.

a gt35 with a .6 would be ~ 550-600hp i think, as you said, wheelspin city. Thats hardly going to make for a fast car.

with a .82 and the smaller comp wheel on the GT30 550-600hp it would be faster i'd bet and less savage

you wont really get a "kick" in then pants. Get a old dog trust turbo or something if your looking for that style of "rush"

I dont find my GT30 giving a massive rush, its nice and progressive compared to the shitter t04 i had previously

He does have a GTR so traction wouldn't be as much of a problem.. It really depends on your final power goals.

The GT35R .6 turbine and wheel combo flows roughly the same as a GT30 .82. Wheel size etc plays a big factor in back pressure.

Personally I prefer twins on a GTR, all the stuff is there, just swap the turbos over. When going to a big single you need AFM adaptors, change the inlet pipework, exhaust manifold, dump pipe, wastegate etc etc. If you spent the same amount of money, the engine with the twins would make a higher average power every time.

I would go GTSS's 2530's for their response, 2530's for their all round ability or GTRS's if you really want that nothing...nothing.....hang on sensation.

:( cheers :)
