Fuel Pumps, What Are My Options?

I was considering to buy a genuine Bosch 040 or 044 fuel pump, but my question is are these compatible with Stageas?

Is the 044 an external pump? Where would i mount it?

I would plan to do it myself, or would it be best to get someone to install it for me?

I bought a 2nd hand catback exhaust for a R33 GTST...guess what...it didnt fit (regardless of what everyone is saying about them fitting)

mate its pretty obvious the stagea is alot longer than a r33 gts-t

and with the fuel pump issue, in mine i went the 044 external fuel pump and two goss little ones for the intank duties, i mounted the 044 with a bracket off the diff cradle...

looks a bit dangerous.. fuel lines near the exhaust.. and is that cable tie the only thing holding it there and stopping it from banging around???

I don't know anyone that has said an R33GTST cat back exhaust would fit, that would be crazy considering the extra length of the waggon. I have checked out the dump and engine pipe and they will fit, as will the cat of course. But from there back, no chance.

As for a fuel pump, any of the usual Skyline fuel pump upgrades will fit with exactly the same problems/advantages. The standard pump should be good for 200 4wkw, so I don't believe I will have to change it for my power target. But, just in case, I have an R33GTR pump standing by which will be OK for 265 4wkw at 12 volts (standard wiring) and 350 4wkw at 13.8 volts (using a relay and dedicated wiring from the battery).

the pump and lines are about 300mm from the exhuast and the pump is bolted onto the u bracket off the diff cradle, the zip tie is holding the fuel filter above it as i havent been able to find a mounting position yet (lack of room and time)

Doesn't the fuel dissolv ethe plastic?

I've always been stumped on what to use to hold the fuel pump when doing a replacement. I was thinking of using a hose clamp.

yer i am using cable ties, and i been told they are fine to use, as the workshop i did mine through use them on all their car fuel pump upgrades

maybe they might breakdown in a few years but ill keep a regular check they are ok

I have head of quite a few zip ties doing the trick as well, that is the fuel resistant ones

In regards to the rear exhaust fitting I haven't heard anyone say it would, but there are many that will vouch the dump pipe will..

In regards to your fuel pump questions, if the stagea uses the same pump setup as a R33, we have some genuine Nippon Denso 260L per hour pumps that fit in with barely any changes at all!

In regards to the bosch pumps the 044 is an external pump and the 040 an internal pump..
