Peak Boost Of An R33 Gtst

Hi, i ask this question because i was under the impression that a standard R33 GTSt ran 7psi maximum standard..now i read in another thread that this it is in fact 1 bar standard. Can someone clear this up for me? Reading on forums about maximum boost settings for the turbos being roughly 12psi and then hearing that maximum standard boost is 14.7psi has got my brain all confused...i probably sound like a idiot but its thrown me out...

7 psi is standard, and pushing it to 14 is generally agreed as a bad idea. 1 The ceramic wheel can break, and 2 the standard intercooler is too restrictive above about 12psi.

I think you were meaning the stock level of boost in the R33 aren't you..

they run 5psi from 0 -> 4,500rpm - than 7/8psi > 4,500..

as duncan said the highest you should run is 12psi as you will strip your exhaust wheel in the turbo if you go any higher..

as for the 14.7 - that is = 1bar = +7 on the R33 boost gauge..

ok....well holy [email protected] boost has been spiking well over 1 bar and its standard...other than the bleed valve whick is wound down to minimum...
