are you sure you guys didn't mean elusive? you do know what illusive means right?

hahhaha good point.

From a purely grammatical point of view Elusive would be better as it gives the impression that the cars in the team are "hard to catch" where as Illusive give the impression that most of the cars are just show ponies.

but hey nothing wrong with show ponies hahaha...as long as they got a bit of go ;)

Eh either way its just a name..... ;)

You going to hold a meet anytime soon so new/potential members can mingle with the team and get to know them ? your SORT of local for me so ill make an effort to come if you do :)

We recenlty finished one but maybe this time a meet not cruise.

We will be holding one soon but unsure when yet. But will keep ya'll notified!! as you said, it would be great for new/potenial members to mingle with the team to get to know us all.

Cheers...

Trust33, yeah thats right, we do have a WRX STi with that plate, he's plates were the main reason why we choose the team name.

The team leader/organiser he's name is Daniel with the C-West/Hybrid Black S15. I and 3 others are co-organiser's of the team.

Yeah at Final Battle that was my car...cheers mate.

Have one at Krispy Kreme at Campbelltown ;)

yeah we dont know about that, as we like to

hold private meets and that place is pretty open for others, unless

just for fun we can meet up there and chill. But will let you's know anyways.

Cheers

Hey,

Just to let you's know, we plan to have another meet, maybe a cruise aswell, but not yet fully confirmed. Will update you's as it comes.

Also "Hybrid" is willing rent out the Oran Park track for the team for some drift and track racing. For all team members.

Also to be confirmed.

("Hybrid" is one of our supports & supports the team, has sponsored members of the team aswell.)

So I guess Marks R31 wouldn't be welcome bwahahaha

due to you saying the car has to be pretty inside and out.. I dont think you would allow that 31 :O

awesome car.. but if you want the cars to look like show cars aswell.......

any car club without a 31 skyline just aint a car club

i dont mind coming to your meets, so long as you provide off road facility for burnouts

where does the money go and is there any benifits to members??

and more importantly.... how much?

Well the money goes to the club/team itself to help go towards

meets (bbq), cruises, events (Track, drag, shows), team banners which benifits

the members aswell. Even to the case where a team member needs a little help on defects, fines and other reasons that could help in a way.

Its all about supporting the team and the members.

How much?? Well, if you have read the edited first page/first post

i've posted up the amount fee. Which is $20.

Also you guys may ask how you pay this, well PM me for more details.

Cheers,

Kris

Burnouts....how bout drifting?.. we can arange something....

Most R31's may not look pretty but some have balls and are fun to

watch when it comes to drifting & doing burnouts.

well we are starting to get more R33 in, but no GTR's as yet...

But your 34 is a GTR isnt it? I mean the $10 sticker at the back sais so...

    • As an ex-skyline owner Going off how these things are now "modern classics", I would keep the twins and just "refresh" bits that are required for reliable power and have a car you can take out for a cruise whenever you get the itch As a idiot who cannot leave things alone Going deep into the "rabbit hole" is a easy thing to do, as previously mentioned, once you start it becomes a slippery slope, wirh lots of supporting mods, and possibly rebuilds, and unless you have a bottomless pit of funds, the car can spend most of its life sitting in the garage,  broken, waiting for parts, or building more funds For a classic like a R32 GTR Basically, a reliable OEM+ refresh, that isn't a broken garage queen, is alot better than a car that you build, then break, then fix, then break again And it isn't just the engine you need to worry about, these beasties are getting on in age, and all parts are getting, and have got, expensive, the days of picking up cheap replacement engines and other driveline parts are well and truly over The funds not spent on going a single with quality parts, and with all the other other bits required to make it happen, could be spent on refreshing alot of other parts A wise man once said "If you cannot afford 2 GTR's, you cannot afford 1", I also believe he said this about 20 years ago when you could pick up a clean R32 GTR up for around $20k My advice for a R32 GTR (the one and only true Godzilla in my mind) is to think holistically about the whole car, the body, the power train, the suspension, the brakes, and the driveline SAU is a wealth of knowledge with decades of Skyline experience,  from stock, to OEM+, to modified to varying degrees, to full on or weekend or dedicated racecars, as well as full on money pits that rarely leave their garage Treat the old girl nice and give her what she deserves, you are a lucky man to own such a classic car
    • For that price you could buy the hypergear turbo (big fan as I run one) and the Haltech ECU..
    • +1 for the Elite 2500. Get some new knock sensors while you are at it (pretty cheap), look up the TAARKS Nissan knock sensor kit. You may also want to get new coils (R35gtr) while your at it (assuming your on stock ones), as they are a liability. Mine started right up and idled fine on the base map. Also go MAP over MAF, as said above, Haltech make this super simple right out the box. Another fanboy of DBW here, Outsider Garage from your neck of the woods make some nice conversion gear for the R33 (that’s where I got some of my gear from).
