I am buying a set of VOLK GT-C's in 18x10 but cant decide on either the +12 or the +17 fitting?

The car is a R33 GTR.

Can anyone here please suggest me which way to go.

Id go the +17 option. It will sit 0mm closer to the strut (standard inner clearance) and extend 26mm on the outside

The +12 will sit 5mm further away from the strut on the inside, and will sit 31mm further toward the guards. The whole wheel will be further out from the strut, plus the extra 1" rim width.

The +12 may give you scrub problems depending on how low or depend on the camber of your suspension setup. I have 18x10 +18 Work wheels with Tein coilovers and have never had any dramas with clearance etc.

Hope this helps... By the way GT-C's will look awesome :glare:

Tried using the calculator that some of the guys has posted on this string but I have no idea what the stock offsets are for the R33 GTS-T Series 1. All I know is that they are 16 x 6.5 and they use 205/55 R16 or 225/50 R16 tyres. Someone help me out here?

Looking to get some Rays Volk TE37L and I just want to make sure the buggers fit. I think R33 GTS-Ts have 5 stud so I am going to have to rule out the 8inch there.

If they do comfortably, then SOLD! Just gotta find a place that sells them.

***MODIFIED***

Thanks n15m0. I thought its better to modify my post instead of just adding another post saying thanks.

Hey guys,

I have been reading about wheels offsets as i am about to buy a new set of 18' Rays Ce28n's for a R33 GTST and have been recommended the following widths and offsets

18x8.5 +30 fronts

18x9.5 +34 rears

What are these going to fit like. Would the look any good in that offset. And would they have much dish on the rear?

What offsets would people recommend?

Any help would be appreciated!!

Cheers

Alan

Thanks for that n15m0,

How about these wheels will they fit on easy without any mods?

RAYS Nismo LMGT-4

18 x 8.5 +30

18 x 9.5 +38

Thanks for the help

Cheers

I'm reluctant to answer you as I myself am looking at getting tht particular set :D

But since I'm a nice guy...yeah it should fit without any dramas. :/

hey peps, just got a set of super advans 2nd hand

they are 17 by 8 and 9's, not too sure of the offset but they fit really nice, but i gotta lip/flare the guards.

is it possible to lip them without respraying? and what should i pay, or were should i go to get it done melbourne?

First of all, please forgive my ignorance. I am new to this site and found it to be a great Forum and has great people!

This is a great thread and i've just gone through to read all the pages. Lots of info in there. However, not many people have posted offsets on a R34 GTT. I've got a question as per the person posted before me. Can a 18x9.5 +30 wheel fit onto my R34 GTT seriesII? My car is stock with standard wheels and suspension. I am looking at changing my wheels to one of the BEE-R/Nismo LM types.

With this settings, will I have any clearance/rubbing problems? even with full turns?

Lastly, has anyone heard about Rota wheels and where to get them in Australia? Thank you all in advance! Keep it coming! Cheers,Michael

bump, exact same interest in this :D

EDIT:

18x9.5 +25mm offset

18x9.5 +38mm offset

That is how 18x9.5 +30 will sit on the rear of a 34...sticks out bout 5-10mm...but with lowering a bit of camber and stretched 235s on there I reckon it will just fit with slight lipping needed...

Ideally you would want to get 18x9.5 +35.

car wouldn't be lowered, or ever so slightly.

would adjustable sway bars, front and rear help at all?

so the lower the offest number, the further it sticks out? So the +38's would go up front and +25's the rear?

i'd be thinking 265 the rear tyres, at least 255.

someone previously mentioned removing the inner guards??
