hey guys, need some help with regards to the inner clearence on a r32 gtst. I know how offsets work and all that jazz im just not sure wether i will foul the suspension or not! I currently have 17x9 +20 all round wit guards flared on rear so wheels sit maybe 10mm inside guard and front guards pumped so wheels sit pretty much flush on guards. Wheels im looking at are 18x10+35 rear.(will sit 27.5mm closer to suspension) and 18x9+35 front (15mm closer to suspension). Both front and back will sit inside the guard more than the 17s so my concern is the suspenion. Any help will be much appreciated...im looking at you nisskid! :cheers: cheers

Are 235/45/17 tyres OK on the stock R34 GT-T rims ? Standard is 225/45/17. I've used a calculator which says it will change reported speed by 1%, but will this fit fine on the rim and is there any benefit or downside ?

hey mate, sorry didnt see this before haha, +35 with a 18x9 is cutting it very close on the front upper control arm, ive run quite a few 17x9 +30's on the front and theres only been a few mm of clearance. 18's will come up even closer once again, if you look at the angle of the control arm and how it sits ull see what i mean. also tyre size will play a big roll in this, obviously a bigger tyre u have less clearance, if it comes down to just the tyre fouling and not the rim, then maybe try something around a 225/40. if you are dead set on the wheels and dont mind running spacers then id grab them and make up mock spacers to see what size u need, then go buy a pair, ull probably only need some slip on 5mm's or something which cost shit all.

as far as the rear is concerned, once again ull be cutting it very close, but unlike the front, having a larger diametre wheel actually gives u more clearance funnily enough. if you look at the back ull see (depending on whether ur car has HICAS or not) u have a rear tie rod end for the HICAS which sits there, a 17" wheel around the 10" around the +35ish mark u will be coming bloody close if not already fouling on it. however an 18" sometimes will actually just clear this and u wont have any fouling issues there. ive heard of some people having this issue and some people not so id imagine it has something to do with the design of the barrel/rim as well as the diametre.

i wouldnt be worrying about the rears as much as if indeed the wheels didnt clear over the HICAS end, then it would be a matter of a spacer of maybe only a few mm thickness.

i cant remember, but i beleive the stock R34 rims are 17x7? yes u can go 235/45, as the rim has a fairly high offset im sure uve already realised that it sits in the guard a fair way, so there shouldnt be any fouling issues on the guard, and since going from a 225 to a 235 u should only expect the tyres to bulge out by 5mm each side (235-225=10mm, 10mm/2=5mm) so there shouldnt be any fouling issues on the inside either.

hey guys. I have a R34 GT-T and am looking at the NISMO LMGT4's. the sizes are:

18x8.5 offset +25

18x9.5 offset +30

Would these look weird on the car or would these be a good match?

Thanks for the help.

Jay

need your help guys. i got a set of wheels i like they are:

ROH DRIFT R's

front= 18* 9, offset +26, tread 234/40/18

rears= 18*10, offset +20, tread 265/35/18

will they fit?

thanks

they would be a nice fit, depending on the tyre and camber you will probably have to roll the guards on the rear and maybe the front if they arnt already.

hey nisskid. thanks for advice mate will keep it in mind next time.

I decided against the wheels as i dont want to be running spaces, and the fronts simply wouldnt fit with out them. :( thanks again dude.

no probs mate.

fit what car?

if its a R33 GTS-t, u will have issues fitting them, to fit them with a minimal flare you'll need to stretch a tyre on both.

I had a look through this thread and can't find the info I'm after, so I was wondering if anyone can tell me the highest of the following sizes that could fit an R33 GTS-4 with 4-stud wheels without having to make any modifications. Ideally, I'd like to get 18x9.5, but after looking at my current 17x9s, it doesn't seem like theres much room left to go wider at the front. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help

17 x 9 (+35 offset)

17 x 9.5 (+18 offset)

18 x 9.5 (+35 offset)

18 x 9.5 (+18 offset)

This is where I'm getting the sizes from- Drifteks

Hi Guys,

I'm wanting to get rid on the 17" on the skyline and upgrade to 18's..

What's the best dimensions to be running 18" on a R32 GT-R without needing any mods to factory guards? e.g. 18x9.0 +?? or 18x9.5 +??

Looking at a set of Rays Engineering GL 57 Pro with OPTIONAL TITANIUM LIP - but need the offsets to give to the suppliers to be able to get quotes for these..

Cheers,

Adrian

Does anyone know if 18x9.5 will fit on a gts-4? Sorry to ask again but I'd like to know soon so I can buy some new wheels. I'm just waiting to find out if they fit..

u can make it fit, depending on the tyre you run up front and the offset all around.
