My prob is the wheels I wanted only came in a 18x10 with a +18 offset, so on a r32 gtr I'm worried that I won't get clearance runing a 265 and I don't want to mess with ride height. The tyres are gunna be KU36's and I'm planing to do the od trackday on them. Wat do you guys think?

I run those offsets on my car with minimal hassle. Slight rubbing with stock suspension and the guards hadn't been rolled. Now has bilsteins in it and guards rolled no scrubbing at all.

how rolled are your guards? mine have been rolled in the back, but there is a slight lip there still, prob 5mm, were the orignal lip has been bent back on itself, The guy before me was running 18x10 +22 with a 255, but KU36 dont come in a 255.

any chance you could give me the ride height your car sits at? from the centre of wheel to the guard? also do u have any extra camber in the rear or front?

cheers

Got some rotas, Craziest offset I've ever fitted.

Skyline model = R32 GT-R

Wheel diameter = 18"

Wheel width = 9.5"

Wheel offset = +12

Tyre size = 265 35 R18

Modifications to fit = roll lip on guards, bit of camber

Other wheels are nismo 400R wheels,

Right bit of an odd question guys, I've got a chance to get my hands on a set of Volk VSXX's, 17 x 8 up front and 17 x 9 on the arse. Going onto a HCR32, What offset/s will suit the car best.

Not interested in having them stick out, and if I can get away with it not rolling the guards. Just nice fitment without having to strech the tyres much or at all if possible.

thats a contradiction you wont get nice fitment without guard work and good offset.

fitment is a fine line no inbetween its either fitment, sunken or mexican.

what offset are the rims your looking at?

btm - they arent te37 copies.. more like bee R b5 or drift teks..

This is the problem I have, Offset for those rims is currently unknown. They arnt in QLD and aparently no offset numbers are on the rims.

All I can tell you is thats theres only about an inch of dish (yeah not really dish but still...lol) and the mounting face isnt very 'deep' in the photos.

I can roll the guards if need be but I cant see these rims really needing it if the tyres are steched a small amount.

Other than those rims im looking at Work Emotion CR KAIs, 17 X 7.5 and I think they are +35

:P:/ :/

stay away from both. first off the vsxx sound fair fail. the CR KAI's are gayer than aids.

if you want fitment for a 32 i'd think you should be looking in the 9 + 20 range scroll through some of the back pages you will be able to get a good idea.

you wont have scrape issues with 8" or 7.5" rims they are like saw blades the biggest issue you will have is it wont look good just wait for some good rims with good offset come up do it once do it right

Don't bother with CR Kai's in that size. You wanna be looking at 17x9 +17 all round with 225/45R17's and a little camber. These will tuck with a decent ride height and guards rolled flat.

Should have made myself more clear. Not the ones he bought, but the new ones Rota have released :(

Drifteks are just copies of Nismo's and BeeRs

Would anyone have any knowledge of how 17x8+5 (fronts) 17x9+11 (rears) would go on a r32 gts-t. No guard work apart from slight rolling on rear guards. I know the width is fine im just worrying about the offsets.

Hey guys, been doing a few searches but can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for...

I've got 18x8's with 235/40/R18 KU31's at the moment.. not sure what offset.

I'm looking at fitting Lenso D1R HSPL's in staggered fitment and have been quoted as being R34 GTT Fitment:

17x8 +33mm Offset 235/45/17 KU36 Tyres

17x9 +35mm Offset 255/40/17 KU36 Tyres

Can someone confirm if this is correct.

Car is an R34 25GT Sedan with R33 4 Pot Brakes front and rear.

Thanks :P

They are mildish fitment but as the tyres will not be stretched at all, they should fill the guards with next to no camber. I personally would be looking at going wider on the wheels, but your best bet is to fit something similar up and see if they are the look you are after.

I would suggest a 225/45R17 on the front as it is the same diameter as the 255/40R17 and will also give the car a far more even look.

Cheers for the help guys! I'm in Brisbane and the place I'll be getting these from is in NSW, so it's a bit hard to get a trial fit... I don't mind the staggered look, main concern is ensuring fitment with the Nissan 4 Pots and staying within the guards without any modifications.

R33 GTST

17x9 + 35 Front and Rear

235/45 Front and Rear

Coilovers (not crazy low) fitted. No mods to guards required. one of the fronts slightly scrubs sometimes on full lock. Rears look like they could sit out a bit further.... maybe 9.5 inch rim next time. Or +30 on the rear.

Would i have any clearence issues going to 255/40 tyres on the rear?

Also i think the circumference would change.....?

Any help would be great.

Cheers

sounds like it will be a touch mexican but nothing ridiculous. should come up good if you put the effort in :D

since you dont want to do guard work or have em pokin out stick with these.. wont look great but wont be complete shit, i was of the understanding 18x10 +22 is a good fit on the 34 guards? a guy on here has/had them.. hunt around a bit will be way nicer looking

    • Mate you saved be from dying in the Perth summer. AC wasn't changing direction and just going into diagnostics mode fixed it. You're a legend and I would shout you a beer if I could!
    • Unfortunately effort gone to waste, you will have substantial issues with how the manifold and wastegate have been integrated. You would be so much better off with a modified stock manifold like this: https://hypergearturbos.com/product/rb25detexgatedmanifold/   OR literally just getting a off the shelf Sinco or 6Boost manifold as myself and others have mentioned.
    • Yuck. But it's kinda the same principle, moving timing around to make car run bad but sound good.... I went for a more spirited tuning drive to iron out a few things. Car no longer stalls, and it loved to dip RPM low when you clutch in. After tuning this (and the 4-5 tables that HPTuners/LS1 OEM ECU wants for idle air correction) it's now behaving somewhat normal. All expected because there's a new TB, new Intake manifold and that new TB which is 102mm vs 78... has an entirely different IAC passage which is smaller because ????? Unfortunately at this point I went to make further fine tuning changes to avoid it flaring up, you know... _tuning_ the HPTuners dongle died. Well to be more accurate - The USB cable died in a fashion that anyone who has ever charged a phone will recognize. After the app demanding I resync it 50 or so times (which all 'succeeded' but all failed) the device does not want to sync and I've logged a ticket with support to see if it's fixable. US Support said it was a 'storage issue' but after removing the SD card inside it and formatting it/fixing it the issue does persist. Unfortunately usually the fix is "Turn in your old dongle and pay $700 for the upgraded one" it's cheaper because I get some free licence credits I unfortunately don't need. However I'm 10 minutes down the road from HP Tuners AUS/VCM so at least I won't need to post it, and logged a new ticket for support over here. Definitely drives different. My SOTP dyno believes it's probably making 310-320kw instead of the 280 before.  It scrambles for traction a little now whereas it previously different. It drives like a bigger cam car up top even though the cam is smaller, likely due to the cam not being advanced 6 degrees. The timing is deliberately low and the fuel is very rich so who knows if this will improve on the dyno. It may, imperceptably. Also funny is removing the pineapples definitely makes the car squat more and axle tramp less. So this behavior of having more top end, squatting more, and scrabbling for traction more makes me think = more power. But I could have just been sitting on the threshold of that kind of behavior before. Time will tell if my butt dyno is calibrated right. I need the exhaust leaks fixed before dyno tune for obvious AFR related reasons - I repositioned the pipes but I'm not confident it's fully sealed even if it is better. At least the car does drive around while I cannot tweak/tune it for now. And I have aircon again. medium success!
    • Don't use that manifold. Please don't use that manifold. Sunk cost fallacy is not worth the later pain. None of these will be relevant to the change that will come from the different turbo and manifold. As in, the effect of the exhaust will be nil, regardless of what else is changed. And all the cam and fuel system stuff is not changing either way, so has no effect. The turbo and manifold (and to a small extent the wastegate)....big change.
