Okay thanks. So the 255/40 is slightly smaller than the 235/45. Obviously this would have an effect on the speedo reading. would this still be a good option for the rear, or am i better off sticking to 235/45 all round? Intended use is track days, hillclimbs etc, with occasional street driving (ie. to and from the track)

Cheers.

hey guys scratchin my head on whether to grab a set of wheels. i want just a clean fitment basically flush with the stock guards with just a roll and lowered.

fronts are 8.5 +30 i know these will sit nice and flush

rears are 9.5 +40

now are these going to sit in to far that they will look complete odd and different when compared to the front or are we talking 5mm will make a match. or is 9.5 +30 what i really want to match the front? because i could live with 5mm but probably not 10.

basically there a good buy and been searching for a while

cheers coops

Go 225/40R18 and 255/35R18 for the same rolling diameter as stock

well going by that then im better off going 9 +22 all round so they sit +14 more fronts and +12 on the backs making it sit flush

being Te37s as well theyll have the concave look and not look so crap

agree?

9 +22 all round is a much better option as long as you have clearance to your struts :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Skyline model = r34 gtt

Wheel diameter = 19inches

Wheel width = 8 front 9 rear

Wheel offset = +23 front +9 rear

Tyre size =215 front and 225 rear

Modifications to fit = everything lol, flare, roll, pump, remove inner plastics.

next set of rims will be even more ridiculous probs go bolt on flares

Hey Guys,,, :D

Sorry.. Bit of a noob when it comes to tyres etc

I'm chasing some tyres for an 18x10.5 rim (Rear)

Would someone be able to suggest what size tyre i should be chasing?

For an R34Gtt Running Full Cusco Coilovers and arms etc

Guards will be rolled...

I just ordered 265/35R18s for 10.5 +30s on the rear of mine :(

235/40R18 is a good option for you as well.

Skyline model = R32 GTS-T

Wheel diameter = 17" enkei RPF1

Wheel width = 8.5" front and rear

Wheel offset = +30 front and rear

Tyre size =215/50/17 front and 225/45/17 rear

Modifications to fit = none. and the fronts rubbed the guards quite badly. didnt want to have to modify guards as i've seen other r32s with modified guards and they look terrible, unless converted to genuine GTR guards. so i got rid of these wheels lol
