Looking at the new Advan RG-D wheels,

http://www.advanwheels.com.au/wheels/wheel.aspx?id=23

The only option that appeals is the 18 x 10.5 which comes in either +15 or +25 and i would run 265/35 tyres.

Wondering if anyone is running any of these sizes on a R32 GTR ? and what sort of clearance issues i could expect other than just having to roll gaurds.

Cheers

Based on how mine fit up, I'd say you'd be best with the 10.5s +25...would sit very similar to mine...the +15s in that width would be a struggle! They'd be out another 10mm or so compared to mine...check pics a page or so back...I'm running 265s as well.

Hey mate,

Im looking at exactly the same wheels for my 1993 gts.

Thinking of getting 18x8.5 all round, not sure of an offset tho.

Did you have to roll the front guards or only the rear? Also do u rekon theyl fit? lol

Thanks

 exactly

Wheel: Lenso/Raiden D1R (Project D)

Skyline model = 1994 R33 GTST

Wheel diameter = 18"

Wheel width = 8.5" Front, 9.0" rear

Wheel offset = +35 Front, +32 Rear

Tyre size = 245/40ZR18 Front 265/35ZR18 Rear

Modifications to fit = Roll Guards

Want to correct the camber a bit so may need to do something with the guards if I do that

Hey guys. I'm pretty new to this website so forgive my noobyness. I'm not really understanding the whole offset thing.

Anyway ive got an 1993 r33 gts (non turbo) 4 stud an looking at fitting lenso d1r 18x8.5+35 to the front an rear. Only mods are lowered springs.

Would they fit without any guard trimming/rolling and without any rubbing on front wheel arch/steering rack etc.

Just want a nice rim that will sit flush.

Any help would be much appreciated. :)

does anyone have any idea how to order work wheels using the nengun website?

i tried but i can't figure out how to choose the offsets and width.

so far, i have standard brakes/calipers and 17" factory rims.

i want high buff 18" work wheels S1 2P to suit the standard brakes, etc

here's the web link i tried using http://www.nengun.com/work-wheels/meister-s1-2-piece

if anyone could help me out, i'd appreciate it

Soem tips:

Ask them to check availability before you send them any money.

You cant decide what size/offset to use or you cant get the website to reflect what you want?

the thing is, i don't know what offset to use when selecting the wheels. i want something with standard brake caliper clearance, deep dish, 18", no rolling of guards,no tyres that stick out of arches, and no removing of wheel lining.

basically something that fits without modification.

these are the specs i tried plugging in nengun.

offset: 35

width: 8.5jj

18" high buff

then it gives my a box labelled "A". what do i put in that box?

is the price they quote on the site per wheel of for a set of four?

so damn confusing.:/

this is how mine sat...work equips 18x10+18 265/35 all around with offset bushes front maxxed, rolled guards, camber arms maxxed rear :whistling:

last 2 pics are with g4 coilovers...which i took out after a lap around the block...

    • Yep, that was one of the things we learned fast in the past with our MX5. When you drive with the top down, you are effectively standing out in the sun, 100% of the time, and not getting in any shade (because roads aren't shaded generally!). Just like standing out in the middle of a field on a sunny 27C day is a bit of a bad plan, so is sitting in a MX5 without sun protection.
    • I also just ordered some Frankenstein bolts and side mounts to fit a hard top Just in case I do find one, basically so it doesn't need to be fixed to the car with only the front latch.......and then gaffa tape to keep it in place for the RTN journey from wherever I get it
    • If your temps are fine now, you probably won't have any issues with where your vents are as they don't look right up at the windscreens high pressure area, so any differences when giving it the beans for extended happy laps would be minimal, but, they should vent heaps when stuck in traffic  Much like how that reverse cowl on my SS let "visible" heat out when stationary, but, because it was basically at the windscreen my coolant temps on the Hwy actually raised because air was being fed into it at speed (110kph), to only come back down to around 90° when I got off the Hwy And your 100% correct about the NC currently not needing vents, but, if I was to add a turbo, and a oil cooler and intercooler in front of the condenserand radiator, and then take it to the track???? It is apparently a recommend requirement if I don't want to worry about coolant or oil temp issues, but, any of the above are possible scenarios, over time As it sits now, with the triple pass radiator and stock air conditioning system, I have absolutely no issues with either temps or air conditioning efficiency, I've been basically daily driving thie car for the last month, both on the Hwy, and peak hour, bumper to bumper traffic, but, that's pretty much expected from basically a standard engine  Talking about no issues daily driving, it was 39° the other day and I was sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on the M5 and then M7, with the top down, and with the air conditioning blowing nice cold air on my feet, balls, and face, well, there was one issue, my head and arms got pretty sun burnt Note to self: leave a hat and sunscreen in the car for such days 🤣
    • I would agree, unless you need something specific to the HV motor/battery side repaired or investigated, any mechanic will be able to perform normal services, but if you prefer, maybe look for a mechanic who regularly services/repairs Nissans, the VQ engines are pretty common in the Nissan lineup.  Sorry, I can't make any suggestions, I don't live in Vic.
    • Some of them keep working fine. 9 out of 10 of them end up causing an absolute misery bleeding the system and get thrown on the workshop floor in a tantrum and never thought about again because they were never really needed and just added crap to the car that we could have done without. Same-same with HICAS, A-LSD, and various other stupidities that over eager 10x engineers thought we had to have.
