I run 18x9.5+12 w 235/40/18 allround, tyres tucked. not cambered and not flared... I get no scrub... it's all in the guardwork

I cant see how it would be truly working without sticking out a bit n at least 1-1.5 degrees of camber...

Also stretched tyres are something that i dont really count as admissable technique for something fitting.

id be keen to see pics of that Joey... No wait you do at the top of page 86 n you indicate a +22 offset, not +12 as here though.?

I can see that setup being +22 (and ill say it looks reasonable) but not +12...

Thats the thing with wheel fitment and this thread.

The problem is everyone has an opinion and what's really missing is the key aspects to fitment. How much guard work you prepared to do, how much camber do you want to run, what size tyre do you want to run and if you like stretch or not.

Until these things are sorted hard to recommend an offset or width.

18x9-1 215/40 Front -3 Camber could get away wtih a 225

18x10+18 225/40 Rear 0 Camber i do have a 25mm flare could get away with a 235

Going to dial in more camber on the rear probably -2.5 and massage the guards abit more as i'm going for some crazy fitment.

Mind you that the car is track orientated and i wouldn't recommend running what i plan on doing on the street as you'll be hassled and defected straight away haha

Just ordered a new set of boots for my 32 gtst.

17x9.5 + 18 front

&

17x10 + 18 rear.

Will let you know how i go ;)

Well i've only had a chance to test fit so far, but it's going to be abit of fun!

that was a +25, current rims are +12's and of course they stick out a little... never said they didn't.

tyres aren't really stretched, we are talking a 235/40/18 on a 9.5 - it's within the required specs of most tyres i run and only 1 size smaller than ADR's reccomend (245/40 legal minimum)

What suspension joeyjoejoe?

greddy type s 6kg rear 8kg front (wound up to max) superpro castor bushes front and superpro camber bushes front and rear. selby's swaybars front and rear. superpro pineaple bushes (set for grip).and gteck rack spacers.

18x9.5 +15 with a 235/40 18. guard lip rolleds up 100%, camber is set at - .2 with whiteline camber arms, about 3mm off guard, will put camber to -1 before the next track day. front is -2.5 camber, hits guard liner, no big deal

Wont that require a lot of guard work?? I am not a fan of the stretched look....so want tyres that sit flush basically...right up to the ends of the rims if you know what I mean...also what about rubbing on full lock??

can anyone tell me what sort of rims these are??

i'm sure i've seen them a million times before but never saw them on an r32 till now.. and would definitely consider these after seeing this!

look for photos of r32 GTST with R33 GTR rims (17x9 +30)

Will give you an idea.

Here is a photo of 18x9 +30 (username: timr32gts)

Looks like xd9's ....

indeed they are! thank you sir.

another inquiry. the following are pics of an r32 i was considering buying back in 2006. i have a question re the rims on it.

i know they are an american brand: HP design. model - HPR5

the ones on this particular car were 18", but i don't know what width that is on the rear. from my own research, every 18" example of them i've found was +38 offset and was available in 18x8 & 18x9 (+38 on both). so i'm picking the fronts are probably 18x8 but can anyone shed some light on what width those rears are? i've been a bit apprehensive about getting 9" rims for the rear of my r32 because i know a lot of the time there is guard/lip work involved, and i dont want any of that. but i was thinking 9" with a +38 offset may work even because it sits inwards just that little bit further than most other 9's? because i'm pretty sure this particular car had no guard work done. and if i can still get the rear down to a nice height without any rubbing that would be awesome.

this is pretty much the exact fit i'm going for, so just want some insight to whether the rears are 9" or 8". these are the most telling pictures i have of it.

chur!

25396297 full

25396196 full

25395936 full

thinking of getting work meisters sp1 3pc wheels.....want to run 18 x 8.5 +29 fronts...and 18 x 9.5 +24 rear....is that ok for the rear??? other option is +37

THANK YOU

go the +37, +24 will be pretty mexican. +37 will be flush with the guard and look great (will require rolling/cutting the arch guard on tho unless u want to run excessive camber or if the car is lowered).

+37 and some good 265's or 275's and you are in looks and traction heaven...
