Can We Fix The Search Please

Can we fix the search so we can search for the 3 letters...

so people can search for common items such as gtr, r34, 32, diff, lsd, etc, etc!!

you used to be able to use say GTR*, but now it doesn't work.. (says its not 4 characters or larger)

I remember reading prank saying if he enabled 3 letter search it would have a big speed impact... if thats the case, have it disabled by default, and under the search page, have a tickbox that will enable 3 letter search on a per search basis?

Pretty much renders the search function useless..so many three letter acronyms... neo,tps,vtc,cas.....

I think i'd prefer the search to be slower bu more accurate.

Don't forget the search will effect 'view new posts' as well

rrrage, maybe try PowerFC, Chip; e-manage (if that works), Link; Microtech

for the time being thats what im having to do. think of other words and maybe do 2-3 searchs as opposed to the 3 letter (single) search

Ok, fulltext search has been turned off with a minimum 3 letters added, so it should be ok now.

Hows that for service! thanks a lot Christian, that three letter thing was driving me crazy as well.
