Speed Limiter

Can anybody tell me if the hicas is effected in any way when getting rid of the speed limiter by cutting wire 53 to the ecu.Will the hicas light stay on the dash?

If you cut it near the ECU it should be fine. Cause the wire comes out of the speedo, and goes into a splitter, and one output goes to HICAS, and ones goes to the ECU.

the far left two pins are at the bottom of the car and the two top right pins are basically at the top (windscreen). tilt the diagram 90 to left so the two far left pins are now at the bottom. then you can see wire 53. cut it but be careful. make sure everything else works and no errors or warning lights on dash. 53 is speedo signal and will also leave you stuck in hicas diag mode if you enter hicas diag mode. fix i believe is to power off the car and all should be fine (thats if ever do hicas diag)

hey all, ever since i got my car imported my hicas light has been on, and the mechanics just said i needed a sensor for it 2fix the problem... i have driven past the 180kph mark numerous times, the needle seems to hover pass the 180 mark and closer to the hicas light... anways 2 get back on track.. does this mean my speed limiter has alreadi been cut?
