OMG! I love that thing! Soooo nice B) But yes, it would be very hard to comply I'd imagine, not sure whether you would have to take the front end back to standard or not, but damn. That things beautiful, when I get some more money, thats how I want mine to look. Cheers for that link :)

Still progressing slowly

Bought some R34 headlights form Yahoo auctions the other night. will have them in about 2 weeks.

Have been chasing prices on the front guards

Emailed Masa direct and they put me onto a broker in japan to deal thru

90,000 yen for a pair plus freight

about $1675 landed plus any duty and gst if I get hit.

Could end around $2000.

So I am thinking about making a set.

The idea is to make a set of 34 GTR guards from fibreglass

I have made a offer on a pair of new factory ones and then would make a mould and then I can make a set of 34 gtr guards.

I would then need to do the same with back half of a set of Stagea guards

Then the next bit is to graph the 2 together.

Sound easier?

I have attached a poor picture of what I mean.

The GTR guards should line up down all edges along the bonnet, headlights and front bar. it is just a matter of joining the 2 guards together and smoothing out the join.

Once finished then take a mould of the end product fro future copies

What do you guy's think?

Looks good Darrin - Me thinks that would be a pretty good way to do it, should work out a fair deal cheaper than MASA's gaurds :( Keep me posted, I wanna know all the costs involved in this :(

Cheers,

Chris

ANOTHER thread about these fronts lol??

I did a lot of pricing on these when I was gonna get my yellow one done - had a few brokers in Japan tee up quotes from Masa....

DSC00430.jpg

Heres a recap of some of the threads on this kit that exist already....

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=73565

I was gonna go the Masa front end but Takelows side skirts and rear skirt... NICE COMBO!

One of the SAU traders posted he could organise the Masa kit at a good rate... Sidewize Imports http://www.slidewizeimports.com

MrZac from Sidewize quoted:

Based on the buy price of 239400 Yen (front and rear bar, sideskirts, rear wing, front guards and bonnet) is approx $4600 landed in Melbourne. For used headlights add another $1000.

For just the front half of the kit at 134400 Yen (front bar, guards, bonnet) is approx $2810 landed in Melbourne. Add $1000 for used headlights

Masa will include the headlights/indicator kit for around $1000. The front kit also includes the mounting brackets and other bits needed.

So yeah - $3810 for the full front end including headlights, or $2810 if u have headlights.

Then the Takelows sideskirt and rear lip (with carbon fibre air-dam / under-lip) to top it off :(

Past thread on other bodykit options:

But yeah - theres lots of info in the older threads... SEARCH is your friend new Stag owners :(

Are you sure the front kit includes all the brackets and panels?

The panels alone add up $2700 before you ship them and add duty gst and commission.

Sidewise current fees would make them worth over $4000 landed.

All the brackets pictured in the kit add upto over $1200 from Nissan Aust.

which makes the whole lot over $5000 without headlights

Thats is a long way from $2810

Haven't ;ooked into it since then - obviouslu coz Im not doing it anymore - but when I enquired the "buy the whole kit" price was a damn site cheaper than the "all pannels added up" price you've arrived at. And when enquiring - if you bought the kit it included all the brackets etc... EVERYTHING pictured in the kit pic except lights for around $1000 extra.

If its changed then ahh well - but Id say I got a lot further into it with several direct and seperate broker wenquiries made with Masa. But hey - Ive been wrong before :D

Darren - thinking about this more - saw your wording "the panels alone add up to $2700"... that might be where your mistake lay - coz I remember the individual panels added up as you are doing was like TWICE the price Masa offered them as a "kit" for with the brackets etc.

So I checked with Masa again - the Masa KIT price is tonnes less than adding up all the individual components and is as the price was stated above by Sidewize, and does include the brackets. So while you might be comiing to your own conclusions based upon 'calculations' - I can confirm that the front kit price including bracket pack is 134,400 yen from Masa.

Cheers

Brazen,

I can not get any straight answers out of Sidewise or a agent in Japan that Masa put me onto in regards to what is included at what price

Can you forward what emails you have from Masa or whoever you got your info from to [email protected]

When I have translated the Masa web site, the kit price of 239,400yen says it is a 6 part kit

This would be all the panels and bodykit

1. Bonnet 2.Guards 3. Front bar. 4.Rear bar 5.Side skirts 6.Rear wing

There is no mention of all the brackets

Have you got an email form Masa confirming this?

Sorry if I am being a pain in the arse, but I do not want order and pay 2-4K and wait 2 months for the wrong parts

I already have a genuine 34GTR bonnet so I will not need the FRP bonnet

Thanks

Darrin.

Darrin ..... Send Aaron an email at Rampant Performance Imports .... and tell him "Fuzzy" sent you.

http://www.rampant.net.au/

He'll be able to help you, just let him know the details of who makes it, what you want, and he'll get it for you.

Actually this pretty much applies to anyone who needs parts, l'd def speak first to aaron before going else where. (and considering sidewise use his containers when sending stuff to OZ... u might save a coin or two! :):D )
