6x9s In R32 Door

Can 6x9s fit into the front doors of a r32 with out major mods?

why would u want to do that for???? go for some nice splits and a sub and it'll sound sweet as, just make a bracket out of mdf for the doors! easy as pie.

There's a thread about that in this forum.. I can't find it at the moment but do a search. Includes a template and everything.

My brother has done it also. Just make sure there's enough clearance behind the magnet for the window glass to descend, and also so the door trim doesn't rub against the speaker.

i did it in my car - kinda hack of a job though

You'll need spacers to ensure the rear magnet doesn't interfere with the window, and make sure you screw them in tight cos they will be suscept to alot of vibrations.

I wouldn't recommend it though - you'd be better off getting a good set of splits or good 6"s to put there - look alot cleaner than cutting up the interior

6.5s will fit fine... ive got some in my doors.....

The rerason I wanted 6x9 is for some bass.Dont want the car full of heavy amps subs and MDF. It just runing of the head unit nothing flash and why get 5x7 when 6x9 are the same price. But I dont want to cut any metal to make em fit.
