The stagea has arrived, and I got it rego'd yesterday! First question - where is the consult plug?? I looked (I think) in all the obvious places, and it has to be there somewhere.. :P

Yep, feeling a bit stupid, but would be happy for feedback (on where the plug is, not on my stupidity ;) )

The consult plug is on the right hand side of the steering wheel, the cover looks like a coin holder or little compartment, you pull that off and behind it is the plugs and some fuses - kinda neat how they make use of the space

Enjoy the Stagea

The Stagea is excellent - better handling, space, and go than I was expecting. Why anyone would buy anything else (if you need a wagon) is beyond me! :-)

I'll put some pics up if your interested - as it's in bayside blue (ie more noticable than silver/white) I've already had a few people come up and ask what it is.. :-)

Only problems so far (I've done 400Km in the three days since rego) is idiot drivers pulling in front of the 'slow' wagon - particularly at roundabouts..

hmm, that's where is is in my R34, but the stagea doesn't have it there... I'll look again in daylight tommorrow...

Welcome to the blue Stagea owners club.

:P cheers  :)

Thanx. I think the wife will be driving it quite a bit, as I've got my R34 GTX tubo which I still like:) The ideal mom and dad cars if you ask me :P

Though, as I have commented above, it is surprising how well the stagea goes. They both have the same motor (NEO) and the stagea is 200kg heavier, so I'm pleasantly surprised...

OK, back to the thread topic :D The CONSULT port is definitely NOT on the right hand side of the steering wheel under the dash (where it is in the R34) - so it has obviously moved between a S1 and S2. Does anyone have an S2 and they have found it?????? It's got to be here somewhere!!

I had a fair look behind the coin tray and thought it was difficult to see behind it. It's quite easy to get to if you know where it is. To be precise, you need to remove the driver's side coin tray from the holder it sits in. It comes off quite easy, just wiggle it sideways and pull it out. What is revealed is the Consult Port and fuse area. With an ECUTalk consult cable, you can then connect it to the consult port and dangle off the bottom the adaptor's USB-B connector for future use and ease of access. You then replace the coin tray back in the slot and it should not buldge etc but fit in and work as usual. Also of note is the fuse label that tells you what fuses do what is printed on the back of the coin tray. It will most likely be in Japanese, but you can purchase a translated sticker which you can affix over the original print. (I think I remember seeing them on ebay before)
