Nismo Oil Filters For Skylines

I'm thinking of getting some Nismo Oil Filters from "Maxx" (he gets them from Japan).

He mentioned that they'd be cheaper per unit if I can get a few people in Vic who want them too.

They would be less than $30 per unit (i expect) and possibly cheaper again the more we get.

I'm probably going to get 5 at this stage for myself, so if you're interested, post here and I'll add you to the list.

are these percentages compared with a genuine nissan filter or some other random one?

They're taken from the Nismo.jp website, so I would imagine that they are vs the standard Nissan filter

I'm still not convinced though, as you can get genuine nissan filters for $8.5 at the dealer - and if you change them every 5000, the difference should be negligible...

My only concern is I'll be putting remote filters and coolers on the Skylines I'll be keeping, and they almost never use the same filter. Otherwise I'd be on board mate.

No worries Geoff - my relocator from Meridian uses the same filter though. I was speaking to Roy and he is still going by the theory that the phsically bigger the oil filter, the better... he should get one of those Mercedes filters that are almost as big as the engine itself

I can't answer this question definitely, but I would guess that RB20, 25, 26, 30 filter mounts on the block are the same... Geoff can you confirm?

Waiting to hear back from Maxx. Best thing to do is maybe organise a GB for NSW with user Maxx on the forums. I'm just grabbing some for myself from him, so though I'd offer to throw a few more in with mine (to save on shipping) when i get mine.

Couldn't say for the RB20 but RB25/26/30 are the same so what are the odds of the 20 being different?

the RB20's have the same ryco equivalent as the RB26's...

There are 4 entries for RB20, non turbo and turbo included (r31 and r32?), they all have the z145A..

there's 4 RB25 entries... two of them have oil filters listed: one of them is the z145A (same as the RB20 and RB26) and another which is the z442... So I don't understand why there would be 2 seperate oil filters for r33's...

but it looks the filters are the same for the 32's

I just bought a GReddy Oil Filter, apparently it fits all RB engines so I guess RB20, RB25 & RB26 all use the same type.

g-day guys, just bought r32 gtr & want to do my own oil changes, but how in da ##%%** do you get at the oil filter?, i know theres a remote unit available around $300 , does it use orignal type filter? any help would be very welcome
