Front or back?

For the front I used a pair of the Clippan general fit retractables.

Rear is a lot harder, for rego I needed to get brackets made up that would support the retracting bit on the rear shelf, keep it far enough forward that it would fit under the window, far enough back that it wouldnt foul on the seatback and be anchored securely on the underside of the shelf (which isnt flat if memory serves me right. I did this by ripping out the rear seats and carpeting the back instead, and making up a carpeted solid panel to cover the ski portal

Front! Don't suppose you have the part number for those front jobs do you?

Did they bolt in ok or anything need moddin?g? My back ones aren't retractable so it doesn't matter really.

i went to a wrecker and got ones from a MR30 aus spec car for the front $10 and they were black, just make shaw you get the whole lot, the belt and the clip... the rear i have to get the bracket made up.. i took out the parcel shelf to find the old belts bolted to the strut tops????

The ones I got for the fron tof my HR30 coupe were:

"Teh dropLink"

I went to a seatbelt business though, not Repco, etc. One thing I was a bit dissapointed about, the drop link wasn't quite as long as the originals, but liveable. Don't reuse the original drop links!!!! You will get kicked right up the arse if anyone discovers the belts have been restitched!

Just went and looked, I think I got the bit that anchors by the seat and threaded that through, then the buckle bit I put the plastic bit in first and wiggled it till it came through.  I'll take a photo later, my battery is dead atm

I'd be interested to know how you did it Adam. I looked at trying to use to originals in my HR,but it wasn't going to work without cutting the belt.Bit late for me now,but just for interest's sake :)

Adam : Can you post some more photo's of your seat belts down the bottom where they bolt into the car please?? I've gotta start looking at replacing my belts in my car, but mine go in behind the trim if i remember rightly where your's appears not to???? Cheers mate :D

Boof,I think you'll find the reel is behind the quater trim. The blade part bolted to the inner sill in the pic there is the other end of the belt.

Adam.My buckles must've been bigger than the ones you have,as there was no way I could've fed them through th drop link as you've done...

Yeah thats right that part, but how in the hell are you going to feed them through the drop link?? Thats the bit i don't get!! Unless you can buy belts that have been fed through that drop link already???
