Does it look like I've smacked my sump on a rock and blocked the oil pickup?

Also how hard is it to get another sump?

I;d say very possible, but u may have been lucky.....and i dunno where you'd get another one.

i wouldn't worry to much about having blocked your oil pickup, it'd have to be pretty good whack to smush them together hard enough to stop oil

Well something has stopped the oil moving

mmmm,looks nasty,but I doubt it's totally closed off the oil pick up.Unless it's giving the pick up enough of a jar to crack/break the pick up's pipe,in which case it'd be sucking air.

If you're going to beat that damage out,be carefull not to split the steel,as it's pretty streatched (sp) looking.

Take said sump off and see what the damage is mate, thats my only advice

Engine might be coming out tomorrow.

Might be on to another running engine though

Then mine can be rebuilt properly over time
