Ok, so the other day, I was listening to the radio at work, it happened to be nova, they had their best of CD in again. So the boss went out, I changed it to B105, as thats all it was picking up, and well, they must of had their best of CD in as well.

Then on the way home, when I didnt have the cefiro for a few week, I had triple J on, not to as much of an extent, but I think at the time they had all the hottest 100 cds in the stacker on shuffle.

So what I would like EVERYONE to do, is email their favorite radio station, maybe with a link to this for the people who choose not to email their fave station. And what I would like you to do, is to DARE them, not ask but DARE them to not play the same song for a 48 hour peirod. By same song I mean, I dont want to hear 20 differnet remixes of the same song. 48 hours of different songs.

I think it would be REALLY easy for the radio stations, I have about 25days worth of music, and well put bluntly, I just dont have that much vairety! I know these radio stations do.

So easy, email radio station, DARE THEM TO NOT PLAY THE SAME SONG FOR 48 HOURS! I dont think they will do it.

Just a suggestion with nova, CC the general manager as well.

Triple J http://abc.net.au/triplej/contact/default.htm

Altho triple J isnt as bad, they are national, so we might have to really pound them. Also maybe email the hack show there too, they dont always seem triple J bias.

didnt b105 do this for a while? it wasnt for 48hours but for 24hours they wouldnt play the same song, or if they did and someone noticed they would get a free cd whoever called it in

No idea. But they wouldnt want to give away only 1 cd. So they would have repeated the songs a fair bit anyway. Really I dont want to hear the same song ever in a 24 hour day on the radio.

Dont put a brick wall up, just email them damn it.

comercial radio is crap.  they'll play one CD to death then change it to another.  it's how the CD publishers want it.  the whole of comercial radio is ad's.  not just the breaks.

Yes I know, its called payola by some. Just send off the emails please! Do your bit!

For the people not being constructive, go away.

For the people like me who have to put up with this at work because the boss says so, then goes out, and gets narky when the station gets changed. Just send the bloody email please. Its not that hard. I got a few emails back today, so give it another month or so I might annoy them enough.

One even said they have never been dared not play the same song, so the idea IS working.

Just a bit of support, come on!
