Hey, this may sound like a stupid post, but i was just wondering, here in sunny old Brisbane, do we need to have our licence plates on the front of the car?

Can we only have the rear, or am sounding so stupid right now that no one will respond?

i would like it if someone could respond to me.

thanks

yea i'd say there is a special ruling for porsches and ferrari's, that and or lapd dont feel the confidence to pull over a 250+k car to fine him for not having a front number plate...the guy would probably laugh at the fine anyway. Having said this officer Hahn of qld's finest had no problem handing me a $120 for it....I was told this was the cheapest option and also the one without any points, so id be keeping that front numberplate handy.

I get a guy coming thru work every arvo im there with a plastic front plate. white background, black numbers, i asked him what the police think of it, he said he got pulled up a while back and they said can you put the rear DOT issued one back on, but the front was fine? Food for thought,

You'll find that porsche and fazz are no different to normal cars in relation to front plates. It's just that the fine are so small and carries no demerit point, so alots of the don't bother, or go the way of a stick on. Imagine drilling holes into a front bar of these cars

just an indicator of pricing of some exotic front bar.

porsche = 12k

ferrari = 24k

lambo murc =38k

lambo gal. = 6k

Also drilling holes in them, void your waranty on that part of the car.

So yeh, stick on are good enough for me atm. As I am a model law abiding citizen. Who has the utmost respect of the law and every officer that enforces the law.

;):D:)
