Hey guys,

My car has cost me about $10k more than I expected. I've decided I'd like to move and go on holidays and do all the other things people do when they make good money but don't have a hi-po car.

Basically I've re-wired it and replaced *SO* much stuff that the car is now freaking perfect (apart from the head gasket).

I will be rebuilding the head before selling the car.

It is basically in great condition from all the stuff that HAS gone wrong with it. Infact it's the best shape it's probably ever been in Australia.

So the question is.. I realise I can't make my money back on it but what do you think my car would be worth?

I paid $15.5k

Done about $10k stuff to it to fix up the dodginess and upgrades.

Will be reco'ing the head.

What's a fair price considering almost everyone on here can vouch for this car being my baby and having everything fixed with TLC and in good nick?

Personally Id like to be able to sell my ceffy one day for actual real money. So can you do the same with yours so the market stays ok.

I would think as yours is kinda a one of a kind, you have done the right stuff with the stereo etc as well, I would try $17k and take offers.

CC! you haven't even drifted it yet!!

It seems like a really hard time to sell things at the moment. there are r33s for 12 grand, R32s for 8 grand and every man and his dog is trying to sell a ceff. dont know why. i guess we are all a bit sick of spending every cent we earn on our stupid powerful cars. Of corse i cant talk as i have already sold mine.

but you might have more luck taking your car to some drift days and having a go. As soon as some people see yourcar in action it will generate some interest. Thats how i sold my car. There were 3 guys interested in it and they were all wanting to get into drift. Alot of thepeople asking about it on the internet were 14 year old kids dreaming about owning a HiPo car.

Your car is something special and will only be bought by a drift enthusiast. you could also advertise it on www.toymods.org.au as an alternative to a stupidly priced underpowered but very fashonable Hachi...

But your car is worth 17k.

I'd be lookin around that price without xenons, audio, ebc, bride seat, alarm ;)

I know I haven't drifted it yet. I need a helmet, once it's on the track it means I'll have to install the gauges too plus morally I don't want to thrash it if I know I'm getting rid of it.

Happy to look at 16k without any of the stuff to 19k-20k with all rebuilt head with cams and all parts I don't have installed on it yet (oil coolers, greddy gauges etc etc).

It's all optionable baby :D
