Finally the RTA has printed it all up in writing, Basically you need a engineer's certificate for EVERYTHING done to your car that wasnt an optional feature of it from factory.

What are you directing us to? I can't see anything on that page that hasn't been updated in the last few months.

As far as I know the new VSI relating to the proposed VCCS scheme (replacing the current scope of engineering signatories) has not been released publicly yet.

what ? even alloy wheels which are legal according to RTA's standards ? (2"bigger, 1.5 inch wider).

on an another note, do u have to engineer aftermarket sound systems ?

i wonder how much it costs to pay for ppl to think up all these insanly draconian regulations and have all the laws passed and then have the police force spend more time enforcing ADR's than the laws that actually keep people safe...!!!??

probably enough to fix all the potholes, ridges and crumbling curbs Australia wide. maybe even put a friggin street sign up every now and then!

(Aus. is the worst when it comes to street signs! anyone tried finding their way with a street map and no street signs lately! ARRGGHHH)

and with the left over pennies maybe they can catch these damn criminals driving around in SKYLINES carjacking people in sydneys east giving us all a bad rep! (not like a skyline driver's rep could get any worse)
