Valve Springs For Rb26

I'm in the process of building an RB26 engine that I want to be able to rev to 9000RPM. It won't be running huge cams (260deg 9.15mm lift PONCAMS), but I'm considering fitting stronger valve springs.

I know I don't really need them, but given that the original ones are nearly 10 years old, and the fact that I am running bigger than factory lift, and I want to rev harder, I think it's a good idea.

The question is, what springs do I use? Will Tomei Type A's be okay? They are rated to 10.8mm lift and 8500RPM. Will these be okay for 9000rpm at only 9.15mm lift?

The specs on these are 24kg seated and 77kg lifted.

Or should I not bother?

Definateley change the valve springs, no doubt about it.

Type A Tomei springs should be ok.

(Alot better than worn standard)

Who is cutting the seats? you have to watch valve protrusion...

Do you have access to a spring checker of some sort?

If so, be sure to check your spring installed height and then shim accordingly.

A head specialist will be fitting the springs and doing up the head.
