Hey Guys

Just wondering how to get to install a REAR Strut bar??? I had a look in the boot is their any other way to get to the top of the rear struts to install it??

Thanks

if u are talking about a standard one, it doesnt attach to the top of the struts, the bar itself is attached to a black bracket on either side, which is attached to the back of the strut tower on two studs either side, (in the boot) you can see it when u remove the boot trim.

if u have a brace that actually attaches to the top of the the struts, u can access them by removing the rear parcel shelf from inside the car.

have a look here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=82746

i put a rear strut brace in the back of my r32. should be the same if u got a r33 (i assume u have a r33)

not true, there are two types of rear strut braces for the R33.

one that sits on top of the struts (requires parcel shelf hacking)

and another that sits on 2 pairs of studs that sit on the rear of the struts and face backwards. (requires boot lining to be cut)

the latter is a bit more rare to find - u can buy a ~$200-$300 cusco one, or find one from a wrecked 33GTR or some 33GTST (series II)

Yeah want to install an aftermarket Brace on my R33. So basically i need to get to them from inside the car on the parcel shelf. I think R32 are different aren’t they as the 33 has the battery and fuses in the back.
