why?

if u want skids.. buy a gts-t.. if u want a nice solid launch, buy a GTS4 and leave it in 4WD.

the weight difference of the GTS4 will make it pointless having if you have any desire to run it in RWD for any reason regularly.

But yup, it can be done via a switch or fuse pull.

He is right

If you wanna be cool and do skips then don't buy a GTS4!

Mine came with a switch and i think i have used it like once maybe twice for the 18 months i have owned the car!

If you want 4WD grip get a GTS4 if you wanna go sideways get a GTSt.

End of story!

do what you want.

people always tell me to buy a rwd car when i say i run my GTR in RWD... but thats their opinon... i say do whatever you want.

but hey... i wana launch hard and i also want to drift and also do track work.... the GTR does well in all of em..

the gts4 is slightly slower then the gtst over the quartermile

To get the GTS4 in RWD simply either remove the fuse in the engine bay fuse box, or install a switch which cuts the circuit. I believe you have to reverse the car a bit once changing back to AWD. I am thinking of installing the switch in my GTS4 soon. With regard to a GTS4 not being suitable for sideways fun sometimes, this is simply incorrect, there is obviously more weight up front but all it takes is getting used to. Last time i checked a GTS4 weighs around 1480 Kg's with/without a driver (cant remember).

BUT if you plan on running around all the time in RWD it does seem quite pointless buying a GTS4, the only time i'd use RWD is for a bit of fun or perhaps a future drift meet - thats me though. End of day "up to you"....

Cheers,

Rhys

From Expierince on the issue does installing the switch damage or harm the AWD system in any way?

Also any further input into installing the switch, and any bad "side effects" on the GTS4 would help me and others. Certianly don't want to "hi-jack" your thread but it is an issue of query for me too, Thanks.
